Arnold summer moved at an uneven pace. During the day he enjoyed hanging with his family and friends. Doing what he always had planned. Playing some stickball, going to the movies, playing video games, and other awesome group activities. He loved it and enjoyed every moment he spent doing them. It was at night he had a problem.

When his friends were home and his family were doing their own things, Arnold's time progressed at a snail's pace. Being alone was the worse for him. He'd lay up in his bed thinking about Helga. Wondering what she was doing and who she was doing it with. It was nerve wreaking. He wanted to call but never mustered up the courage to do so. Yet, he would stare at his phone, hoping that the next time it rung it was her.

All Helga wanted was time alone. When she got to New York, Olga rarely left her side. The museums and galleries they visited in the mornings. The shows and performances in the evenings. To the parties and get togethers at night. In between all of that, they ate and shopped. Helga was so exhausted when she went to bed, she barely remembered her head hitting the pillow most nights. Yet, her dreams showed her true intentions.

Every night was a different dream, but it was always about a certain football headed boy. He would tell her he loved her like no one else could love another. They would dine at a fancy establishment that Helga had visited during her waking hours, see a show Helga had seen, then they would disappear into her room at night. To be undisturbed until brunch the next day.

Helga would wake from her dreams so happy until she remembers that it wasn't real. What's worse is when reality hit, and she'd remember that her and Arnold were no longer together. So, her dreams were a cruel joke. Something to remind her that what she truly wanted will never come to light. She was about to try and return to her dreams when a knock on her door forced her to stay awake.

"Today's the day." Olga exclaimed as she entered without waiting for Helga to answer.

"What do you mean?" Helga asked, still wanting to be with dream Arnold.

Olga started to tear up. "You go home today."

"WHAT!?" Helga jumped out of bed.

"Yeah, let's go out one last time and eat. Then we pack up and head to the airport. You'll be home before the end of the day." Olga left to get ready.

Helga couldn't believe it. Her days have been blending together. She didn't even notice that her entire summer had already come and gone. Happiness filled Helga. Before she'll know it, she'll be home. Getting to see all of her friends. Telling them about her summer. Seeing him.

Helga started packing. Excitement couldn't be contained within her. She started to smile and dance around. In the past three months, Helga had come to accept her new appearance and embrace becoming a woman. No longer does she hide herself behind heavy or large clothing. A whole new wardrobe will be coming back home with her. She couldn't wait to show who she had become.

Olga knocked on her door again and then let herself in. "I'm ready to go when you are."

"Awesome, let me finish getting ready." Helga hurried and got dressed.

The countdown until she was home, began. She looked at her phone and marked the time. Every moment that passed was another moment closer. It filled her with emotions that she was able to handle now.

Arnold was sitting on the bench in the empty lot. He was waiting for his turn up at bat. Gerald was prepping for his swing. The whole gang was out all-day playing baseball. It was another day of wonderful memories.
