Ok yalls

here's a forewarning cuz you'll probably be disappointed. I've been dreading writing this chapter cuz its really difficult to decide on crucial moments like this, while keeping their personalities their own and while also, not making this one of those disappointing letdowns of  -   well- you'll see

Crystal dressed herself, feeling odd at how she smelled like Bakugo. Their hair shared the same scent of light, somewhat detergent-like, sunshine. The shirt she borrowed from him hung loosely on her slim body, the skin from her neck to shoulders particularly revealed.

She pushed down the handle, the metal cold against her skin. The door released a light "click!" as the breeze from the air-conditioned room tickled her skin.

Bakugo stood in front of his mirror, twisting his arms around stiffly as he tried to bandage his reopened wound.

"Let me," Crystal offered, gesturing for him to sit on the bed.

He sat obediently, his legs crossed as he sat at the edge of the bed.

"Alright..." Crystal said, examining the wound's healing progress before she began.

She kneeled on the floor in front of him, gauze in hand. "Kacchan, there's something I have to tell you."

"What's up?" He asked as she started to wind the material around his body.

"Well, I know you've been curious about my parents and what they've done so," she glanced at him hesitantly before she continued, "here goes."

"After I had that incident when I was young, you know, the one where I kinda traumatized a group of girls, my parents kind of locked me in the training room - well, when it was just an empty, blank room. They left me there for a while...a week or so, and they were so scared and ashamed to have someone with a quirk as terrible as mine as a child that they starved me-"

She felt like a knot had tied in her throat as she stuttered.

She continued, "They left me there at the peak of winter and it was...cold," she didn't know how to express her traumatic feelings, and even though she was only speaking in a way that made it seem way less terrifying, she couldn't stop. It made her realize how much she had to get it out.

Tears welled in her eyes as she resumed, "It was so, so cold. I remember shivering and freezing there. They never really came to check on me, they just-"

"Hey, you don't ha-" Bakugo began, only to be interrupted by Crystal.

She couldn't stop. It just kept going. She couldn't help it. "They just left me there. The whole time I was there I was terrified. It was so dark and I couldn't see anything. Just black. I thought that they'd left me to die. My parents just acted like it never happened," she held back her tears as she finished bandaging, "My father...he seems sorry about it and he's trying to make amends but my mom...She's just been really cold ever since. I've never really talked to her since, only short conversations when we have to, but otherwise, nothing. I haven't even seen her for the past few years.

" If this "Gold" guy is my biological father, things would make sense. That would make me a token of her bad past or something. My mother...I don't see her much at all but - she just doesn't see me as her daughter. At least if Gold is really my father, my mother would have a real reason to hate me. "

She looked down, afraid to see Bakugo's reaction to her past.

He waited for her to look up before he asked. "You don't have to tell me this, y'know?"

She felt like a weight was freed from her shoulders when she heard him reply normally, but her heart dropped when she saw his heartbroken face, eyes drooped down and back hunched over.

Crystal instinctively held his hands in her, comforting him. "I know. It's just that I feel like I should, 'cause I feel like you'd want to know. And also because..."

The uneasiness she felt changed into shyness. It took Crystal a huge amount of courage to continue.

"'Cause I think I have a," she paused, taking in a breath, "because I lik-"

"HOLD UP!" Bakugo exclaimed, his hand muffling Crystal's voice.

"I wanna say it," he said as a blush reddened his face, "Just wait."

Her heart seemed to collapse into itself and reconstruct itself at the same time.

She pulled his hand away from her mouth so she could question him, "Does that mean you-"

"Don't ask, Don't. Ask." He glared at her.

She thought for a moment, wondering if she was misreading him or if he really did like her back.

Then as if he was shy, he urged her out of the house. "It'sdarkandyoushouldleavegoodbye," he said as he kicked her out.

Just like that, she headed home. She figured that her emotions were steady, and that sequentially her eyes were ,once again, silver.

Her house was only a few houses down. It took her a mere minute to get there.

"Crystal!" Rose greeted her, eyes gleaming as she opened her arms for a hug.

Her arms stopped mid-way before retracting. She looked over her shoulder as if there was someone or something there. Her eyes seemed to warn Crystal as she continued. "Crystal, welcome back."

Rose left the door open for Crystal to enter. She dismissed herself afterwards, leaving Crystal alone.

She thought about her maid's weird behavior as she made her way to her room.

Then her eyes caught on a figure. On the couch in the living room sat a tall woman. Her shoulder-length hair was the same dark silver of her eyes, contrasting with her pale, pale skin. Her elegance showed through her straight posture and her still expression. Her flawless skin seemed to glow under the lights.

Her icy eyes landed on her daughter as she spoke.

"Hello, Crystal."

Ok umm like i said

a letdown of a pre-confession

i spent so long just thinking about this chapter. But i figured it would be better to write a lot since its holiday.

I wrote ALERT trying to gain attention for being one of the few ff's that truly keep the character's - well - character real and natural rather than someone theyre not (like the ones that basically just use the names, looks and life and excluding personality). For me, thats a huge turn off in a ff.

BUT OOPS - i did a bad job of that. And it was particularly hard because Bakugo's true personality isnt really shown in the series.

I didnt rly preserve his personality. oops.
