Chapter 10

Zeke drove off, "Are you trying to kill everyone on the block?," he asked. Marcus scoffed. "Oh shut up, John said make a distraction, I made it, end of story," Marcus snapped. Ethan was putting on an extra shirt and pants that Zeke had thrown at him. "Don't mess those up, they're my replacement clothes on missions," said Zeke. Ethan rolled his eyes as he adjusted the uncomfortably tight clothes. "Man, you're so annoying," said Trevor. Zeke paid him no attention, but twitched at his remark.

Ethan turned to Trevor, "Man, what are you doing here?!," he asked. Trevor smiled and gave Ethan a handshake, then pulled him in for a hug. "You can never stay out of trouble can you Shelton, I'm always saving your butt," he said. Marcus shook his head, and Ethan laughed. Zeke pulled into a parking garage. Ethan looked out and saw John and the others standing there.

Zeke parked and everyone got out. "You made it, good, that was... a bit too much of a distraction but it did it's thing," said John.

"It's better than being in prison," said Marcus. Alisha giggled. "What happened, did we get everything?," asked Ethan. Abraham nodded, "Yep, sure did, but with all the noise inside, the police started showing up we need to get away unnoticed," he said.

"ETHAN," shouted a very familiar voice. Ethan and Marcus looked to the right, Walter and Michelle were running towards them. "They're here too?!," asked Marcus. Michelle jumped and hugged Ethan tightly, Ethan hugged her back, spinning around. Walter ran up to Marcus, "Yo, you two are nuts, we heard that boom from here, I thought you burned to a crisp," he said. Marcus stared at Walter, and Trevor face palmed himself. "I can't burn remember," said Marcus. "Look, I'm emotionally distressed okay, give me break," said Walter. John and the crew laughed.

Michelle kissed Ethan multiple times, then took his face into her hands to get a good look at him. "I'm so happy you're okay," she said. Ethan couldn't believe she was here. "I'm alright, how did you know I was here?," asked Ethan.

"Tim told us what happened at your house, he said you were going on some crazy super mission, so I tracked you two down," said Walter. "I'm gonna kill Tim," said Marcus. Michelle laid her head on Ethan's chest. "I'm sorry I didn't call you, there wasn't time," said Ethan. She tightened her embrace. "It's good you're all here, but we have to go now, the cars are this way," said John.

"What about these three?," asked Zeke. Trevor walked up to Walter. "We're coming with you of course, no questions asked," said Walter. "And we'll follow you if need be," said Trevor. John shook his head. "It's too dangerous," he said. Trevor then made his way to John.

John wasn't expecting him to be that big. "Look buddy, I helped take down Roman and his team of losers, I also threw down with a freaking Pyro three times your size," said Trevor.

"With help," said Marcus.

"Shut it West!! Point is, all three of us can help and are going to help," said Trevor. Michelle stood in front of Ethan, and nodded, Walter nodded as well. John grinned. "Fine, but we gotta move, come on," he said. Everyone dispersed, John, Ruth, Yasmine and Alisha went to a red SUV. Zeke, Marcus, and Abraham ran to a black pickup truck. Trevor, Walter, Michelle, and Ethan ran to Trevor's silver pickup truck. John swiftly lead the way, Abraham following, and Trevor behind him. "Listen everyone, take different paths out of the city, it'll look suspicious if three cars are leaving the same way, we'll meet you back at the base," said John.

Ethan was surprised his ear piece still worked, but he told the group what John had said. Walter passed Ethan his red skull cap as the approached the research facility. The road was blocked off, and fire trucks and cops were all over the place. "It's worse than I thought," said Ethan. Michelle laid her head on his shoulder and grabbed his hand. "I'm just glad you're okay," she said. Ethan turned to her, and he took her hand. "You've been through a lot these last few days man," said Walter.
