CHAPTER THIRTEEN-HOPELESS

Devastion. A word used to describe a state of hopelessness, depression, destruction, shock, and a few many others to be counted. That would explain the turmoil his half written goaless undetermined life headed to. The once hopeful, strong built, relentless, every fighting survivor of the heart, now reduced to a man confined by his legs, and no will to move on. His will to move on had once again being stripped off him. Every lost felt like that moment. Watching her body lay lifelessly on the ocean, gone from this world, a feeling of helplessness overshadowing him. That's what he felt now anyway, helpless. He was a burden to the people he cared about, especially a father he was now stucked with who looked so hopeless in all of his problem, almost making the helpless Kyle pity him. His father used to be his upright image, flawless, submissive enough to his life to let her run things while he still gained dominance over her, keeping family together, strict to the core, business and profession oriented, charming when he wanted to be, deadly when he needed to be, he was truly the man of the house. They were the role midel family. Then things just got ugly an strange at a point, and even though he and Christina took care of the situation well enough, he never to understand what truly happened.

Renata decided to go overseas to further her studies. To complete her dream of becoming a lawyer. She'd been through law school. But furthering was just a perfect excuse to get away from all the drama in her life and her family. She loved them, especially her twin brother. But it all got too much at a point. Lance had been a prick, a bastard she wanted to screw over. Her fear of getting pregnant even with the pill got rushing off. Luckily fate stood by her and she didn't have to bear his fruit. But everything she ever thought she had with Lance ended their. He couldnever love her. And she had fully comprehended it, promising herself to never fall for him again.

Even with being in a wheelchair, Kyle still striked hot to every woman who crossed his path. It was no secret he burned them to the core. A still famous wealthy businessman, CEO of the transporting and shipping Martins industry and owner of the Martins stock exchange empire, leading in the stock exchange market even in his state as he gave himself to working until the world would stop. It was the only way he could redeem himself. And he quickly earned the respect of his work associates again, gaining his respect in the market, something people his father's age envied.
Christina worried for her sin, got him an assistant who fell way too quickly for the irresistible Kyle Martins. At first, he found her annoying with her over persistence and intrusion, but after spending 4months with her, he finally accepted that she was really charming with her cute face and vie excited attitude. He didn't think she'd last long with his cold dismissal attitude. But after, hitting it off right with her again, they started his physiotherapy to help him walk. Chrisitina had made sure Kyle's assistant could do more than just be there for him.

"Cleo, I know next week's your parent's anniversary. I'll be fine." Kyle tried, again.

"Nonsense" she had a sweetly British accent that made Kyle smiled. She accessed him then continued wuth her accent speaking. "I shall have none of those. Ma and pa extend their invitations to you. You must come. Your presence will be most required at the party. I shall here no more of this"

"You know, for an assistant, you are very annoying," she frowned pouting. "And adorable. I couldn't have wished for better company." Cleo tried her best to hide the blush coated all over her face, and when she could take no more. She leaned closer, as he watched her mysteriously, feigning confusion until she caught his lips. An immediate resction shot up his hand and he left his crutches to put a distance between them, almost falling but catching his crutches back in time. Her face looked over red. She wanted to anything but to be standing st that point. She wished her over dramatic nature who make her faint. She wished her juvenile behaviour would make her ignore the sting of rejection. But alas! None happened.
