"Smells good." A voice says.

Before I can turn around, he wraps his hands around my waist and leans his chin on my shoulder.

"Thank you. My mom makes it like this." I say, flipping the omelet.

"Your mom is a living legend." He says and I chuckle as he lets go of me, pecking my cheek first.

"Did you take a shower?" I ask.

"Yeah, what gave it away?" He chuckles, shutting the fridge as he takes a sip of his vitamin water.

"Your cologne." I laugh and he chuckles.

"You like it?" He raises an eyebrow.

"Yes, I like it a lot." I grimace as I wrap my arms around my neck.

"Noted. How's your head?" He asks, tucking some hair behind my ear.

"Better, I took some tylenol a few minutes ago." I nod.

"You took a pill?" He fake gasps.

"Yeah, right. Never gonna happen, buddy." I scoff and he laughs as I run my fingers through his wet hair.

"You're gonna burn the food!" He exclaims.

"Shit!" I yell and take the pan off the stove and he starts laughing.

"Shut it, curly fry." I say, putting the other omelet on the plate.

"You're mean." He pouts, crossing his arms.

"As I'm making you a full course meal? Okay, now you get to starve." I shrug, taking his plate with me.

"C'mon, don't be like that." He says, blocking my way into the dining room.

I squint my eyes at him and he just chuckles.

"I'm sorry." He croaks out as his face is now only centimeters away from mine.

I fall into his dreamy brown eyes.

But, my dream is interrupted as he snatches the plate from my hand.

"Hey!" I exclaim, jumping to get it back but he moves his hand higher.

"You're out of luck, short stack." He jokes and I pout at him.

"Okay, we get it, jolly the green giant. Let's just eat." I roll my eyes and he raises his eyebrows at my comeback.

"I'm so getting you back for that one." He teases and I laugh as we sit down.

"So, should we uh, talk about last night?" He says, clearing his throat.

"I mean, I really don't remember anything that happened last night so, I guess. Maybe, refresh my memory."

"So, you don't remember what happened at the party?"

"I...drank a lot, I know that."

"You did." He chuckles and I do the same.

"What happened?"

"Well, we played spin the bottle and things got intense and uh, we were dared to spend seven minutes in heaven."

"Seriously, what is this, fifth grade?" I scoff, swallowing my piece of bacon.

"You said yes, can't go back now. Of course, I asked if you were okay with it." He says.

"Oh god, I'm embarrassed of myself." I groan, shaking my head.

"It wasn't that bad."

"Oh, really? What did we do?" I ask, raising an eyebrow.

"We were just talking and then we uh, kissed." He breathes.

"And then we came back here and we...hooked up?" I say in an unsure tone.

"No, we didn't. You and Kacey did some shot challenge and I took you home. You begged me to stay with you." He says and we laugh.

"Oh my god, beginner drunk girl 101." I groan, burying my head in my hands and he laughs.

"I thought it was adorable. You're really cute when you're drunk." He says and my cheeks heat up.

"So, all we did was kiss and then fall asleep?" I chuckle.

"We talked too, you uh, gave me advice about my dad."

"Right. I told you that you didn't have to forgive but he's still your dad." I say, blinking a few times.

"You do remember." He half grins.

"Some parts are slowly coming back." I say and he nods.

"You finished?" I ask and he nods as he swallows his last of the eggs.

I take the plate from him, along with mine and walk to the kitchen, reaching the sink.

"Wait." I say, furrowing my eyebrows together.

"Yeah?" He says, standing up.

"You were talking about a shot challenge with Kacey. She was there?" I ask.

"Yeah, I uh, came there with her." He slowly says and I cross my arms, clenching my jaw.

"Lex." He sighs, walking toward me.

"Don't." I say.

"It's not what you think, just let me-"

"Really? Because it seems like you went to the party with Kacey, as your date, and then kissed me in a fucking closet. Am I right or wrong?" I ask, raising my eyebrows.

"Yes, it's true, but I said I told you I was over her. I said I lied when you asked if we were together. I brought her there to make you jealous." He sighs.

"Why?"

"Because I saw you with Shawn. I don't trust that guy anyway." He says and I scoff.

"You don't even know him, you can't say that."

"I don't want to. And you barely know him too." He snaps at me.

"How do you know that? I got to the party before you. Who knows, maybe Shawn and I did a lot more than just talk." I say, looking him in the eye.

Due to my peripheral vision, I see him clenching his fist as he studies me.

"You're bluffing." He says, raising his eyebrows.

"Guess you'll never know." I casually shrug, taking my back off the counter, brushing past him.

He grabs my wrist and pulls me back, putting his lips on mine.

A couple seconds past and he pulls away, looking into my eyes as my chest heaves up and down.

"Does Shawn kiss you like that?" He smirks, tilting his head at me.

"That's for me to know, and for you to wonder." I say, taking off his red hoodie.

"Now, I gotta catch up on my homework for school tomorrow and Taylor's coming over soon." I grimace, shoving the hoodie against his firm chest.

He raises his eyebrows and I smirk, brushing past him as I jog upstairs.

Am I possibly...losing feelings for him?
