"Lex, Taylor's here!" My mom call out.

"Okay!" I shout as I take my piano off me and set it aside, along with my book and guitar.

I grab my phone and head downstairs.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" I say as my mom walks back to the kitchen.

"I'm on my way to the game. Are you coming?" She asks.

"Uh...no, I'm not."

"You really wanna stay here and listen to your parents argue?" She protests.

"Better then seeing Josh's face." I shrug.

"Then go for Shawn, and for me. Please, Lex. Lucas is on the team too."

"Really? When did that happen?"

"Last week. He didn't tell me sooner because he wanted it to be a surprise." She grins.

"I'm happy for him, tell him I said congrats." I say, putting my hands in my jean pockets.

"You can tell him yourself if you come tonight. And see Shawn. He's playing tonight too." She pleads.

"Really? I didn't know Shawn played basketball." I say.

"Exactly, if you come tonight, he'll be so swooned by your gesture." She says and I chuckle.

"Calm down Tay, Shawn and I aren't getting together anytime soon."

"Because you still have feelings for Josh." She smirks at me.

"If I say yes, will you stop talking about Josh?" I groan and he laughs.

"Yes." She says and I sigh.

"Alright, let's go." I say, grabbing my jean jacket from the coat rack.

"Yay!" Taylor grins, clapping her hands together and I scoff, shaking my head.

"Mom, I'm going to the school game! I'll be back by nine!" I call out.

"Okay, sweetie! Don't stay out too late!" She says and I shut the door.

"I'm so happy you changed you mind." She grins as we start walking down the block.

"Like I had a choice." I groan and she chuckles.

"At least you're not participating. You're just siting back and enjoying the game."

"Enjoying is an understatement." I say, rolling my eyes.

"C'mon Lex, you love sports." She frowns at me.

"Yeah, but not when I'm going to see the two guys I have mixed feelings for." I shrug.

"So you do still have feelings for Josh?" She says, raising an eyebrow.

"Maybe." I mutter as we cross the street.

"I knew it." She grins.

"Okay, okay. But, Shawn and I kissed at school so, I don't know what I'm feeling now." I say.

"Woah, woah, woah. You kissed him?! When?" She exclaims.

"Right after you left to see Lucas, he took me to the music room. We were just messing around with the piano and we almost got caught so we hid behind it. It got silence and he...kissed me." I shrug and her eyes widen.

"Holy shit. Why aren't you freaking out?"

"Because, when he kissed me...I didn't feel anything. I mean, at first I did, but now I don't. Is that bad?" I ask, looking at her with worry.

"Not at all. Just face it Lex, you still like Josh. Maybe you even love him too." She says and I go back to the day he sang that song for me at the audition.

I let out a dry laugh as I look down, playing with my hands.

"I really don't wanna talk about this right now, Tay. Let's just have fun tonight, okay?" I ask.

"Okay." She nods with a grin and wraps an arm around my shoulder.

We let out a laugh as walk down the last block.

Please let this night go well.
