A/N: The title of this chapter and a scene in this chapter are both dedicated to an awesome reader. Enjoy ^.-

I watch Reila as she slowly wanders the shelves of the library. Zen had more books brought in after she left the first time but she hadn't been able to go to the library until now. I decided to bring her here instead of back to her room after the incident in the gardens. Her face lit up when she realized where we were going. My thoughts are still racing around the question Obi brought up but I'm not going to push her either. I just hope that whoever it is will make her happy.

"Miss, have you thought any more on what you're wanting to do once your better?"

Her eyes cut to me and I quickly amend my question to call her Miss Reila instead, though it only earns another look.

"I haven't decided fully yet, but once I'm at least able to walk on my own again, I'd like to discuss some options with Prince Zen."

"I hope whatever you choose makes you happy."

She thanks me as she pulls a book from the shelves and I help her to the couch.

"What is your pick this time?" I ask as she settles beside me and rests her head on my shoulder.

"The Cask of Amontillado. It's by the same man who wrote the poem about Annabel Lee and The Tell-Tale Heart."

"Sounds like it will be interesting if it's anything like his other works."

Her soft voice fills the air as she starts to read it aloud and it instantly fills me with a sense of peace. I've always loved listening to her read. I never thought much about the library before she came around and now it's like a sanctuary away from the rest of the world. Unless Obi comes barging in, no one else bothers us, even the guards doing their twice daily rounds don't bother us. The peace lasts for about an hour before her voice trails off and she marks her page.

"M-Mitsuhide," Reila stutters out before taking a calming breath. "Can I talk to you about something?"

"Of course. I'm always here to talk if you need to."

"I-I... I changed my mind..." She sighs as her cheeks tint red.

I arch a brow but tell her that's fine too as she turns her attention back to the book. She makes it a few words in before closing the book once more.

"What is it Miss Reila?"

"I-It's about what Obi mentioned in the gardens..."

"You don't have to feel pressured to tell anyone. You don't even have to confess to whoever it may be if you don't want to. Whoever he is is lucky to have earned your affection."

"How do you tell someone that you have those... feelings?"

"There are many ways from simply saying it straight out to writing a letter, some people say it with a kiss," I mumble, hating that I'm having to help her figure out how to confess to someone else when I can't even confess to her. "It's really up to you, Miss Reila. If you want to tell him you have to figure out how you want to do it or what is easiest for you."

"Do you trust me, Mitsuhide?" She asks and I turn to her in confusion.

"Completely, why?"

"Will you close your eyes for me, just for a moment?" Her gaze is focused on the fireplace and her face is red.

Any other time, I'd think she looks adorable and as beautiful as ever, which she still is, but I'm more confused than anything. She finally gives me a pointed look and I close my eyes. This reminds me of the night she got drunk and kissed... me. I know this feeling, the same feeling of sparks and warmth I'd gotten that night when her lips touched mine, then the next night when I'd kissed her here. I'm not sure why she's kissing me again but I find myself pulling her closer as one of my hands drifts to her hair.

"Oh... My... God. This is amazing! I'm glad I brought food..."

I absently pick up the first thing my hand touches, her book, and toss it, hearing a thud afterward and Obi's complaints. I feel her smile against my lips before pulling away.

"Obi, could you give us a moment please?" Reila asks, not taking her eyes off me.

"Only if I can come back afterward."

"Obi-"

"Yes Miss Reila." He huffs and walks out.

"Miss Reila, why did you-?" I trail off as the answer hits me.

"Y-You said that some people confess by kissing... I'm not the best when it comes to words, but after everything that happened, I didn't want to hide it any longer... If you don't feel the same, that's fine, I just-"

I cut her off by pulling her into another kiss. I feel her tense at first but she melts into the kiss a moment later and I feel her hands move to grip my shirt as she tries to get closer. I can't believe this is happening, that this is reality. I fell for her months ago and couldn't get myself to tell her but she's felt the same for who knows how long and now... I feel like nothing else exists but us in this moment.

"Shh! I brought you here to watch, not to talk Master."

Obi's back... and he brought Zen.

"I think it's juvenile that you two are spying on this. Why was I forced to come along?"

There's Kiki... All we're missing is-

"What's going on? Shame on both of you! This is private. Go! Now."

There's Shirayuki. I sigh and break the kiss as I hear her shooing everyone away and the door softly shuts.

"I think we were being watched." I whisper and she giggles.

"I think so too but it's okay. I barely noticed them."

"Mi- Reila, I've wanted to tell you for so long how I felt about you but it never seemed to be the right time. With your status the first time you were here, I knew it couldn't work and when you came back there was just never the chance with everything else going on."

She smiles and takes my hand and I notice hers is shaking slightly.

"Remember the ball when I started drinking? I had actually wanted to tell you then but I got scared... I hoped that a drink or two would help my nerves but it didn't work so I kept thinking just one more and I ended up getting drunk instead..."

"That night when I brought you to your room, you told me you had a secret. I got you to tell me that you liked someone that you weren't supposed to and it wasn't fair but you never said who. I worried that it was Obi since it was after he took you on the walk through the gardens."

"On that walk, all we talked about was you. He'd found out a week or so prior that I liked you so our time spent together when you weren't around was him trying to convince me to tell you. I'd sworn him to secrecy though."

"Obi thinks your pinky promise is a curse and that you're a witch for that by the way."

"I'll be sure to torture him with that later." She smirks.

"I-I love you Reila."

"I love you too Mitsuhide."
