Elves, being closely related to Nymphai and Fae, share a few characteristics: the pointed ears of the Fae and the near-immortal lives of the Nymphai. It was long thought that the Elves were children of a Fae and a Nymphai, giving the species their shared characteristics. Elves are a tall, slender race that values peace and prosperity above all else. Their faces tend to look sharp and cold, giving them a very statuesque appearance. Elves come in varying skin tones, depending on where they are from and can be any gender.
Woodland
These Elves live in dense forests, giving their skin a slight tan shade. They have a strong connection with the animals of the forest and will fight to protect it.
Sun/Sky
These Elves live in open, sunny fields, giving their skin a more tanned look to it. They take their pride in their connection with their past selves and can, on occasion, see into the past lives of others, usually to offer guidance.
Moon/Dark
These Elves live underground, only coming up to the surface at night due to a high light sensitivity that has overcome them, making them the palest of all Elves. They have a strong connection to the moon and the night.
Mountain/Snow
These Elves live high in the mountains, making them extremely pale and often giving them blue eyes. Living in the cold has made them mentally strong and able to think their way out of anything, due to having to find quick solutions for food shortages or extreme cold.
Cave
These Elves are found in caves on mountainsides, making them very close to the Snow Elves. Given they can move around during the day and are not subject to the frosty temperatures further up the mountain, their skin can range from slightly pale to tan. They are hunters, giving them strong pride in their strength and endurance.
Island
Island Elves are the descendants of Cave Elves that left the mainland for the outer Islands hundreds of years ago. They have the darkest skin of all the Elves due to the constant exposure to the elements. They feel a strong connection to the sea and will often meditate in shallow waters.

The Elves are known to be aloof and standoffish when it comes to outsiders. They are rarely seen in crowded or rowdy areas, preferring the solitude of meditation and reflection. They rarely sleep, gaining their rest for hours of meditation. This allows them to build a strong connection with their magick as well as view and understand their past lives.
Alongside Nymphai, Elves are not elementalists, but more so environmentalists. Their magick is unlimited in their environment, one which they are typically quite dedicated to. They do, however, have a magickal signature. The magickal councils of our world try to work with them, but nearly all tribes want absolute solitary from the mortal and magickal world. Under a few different decrees, they are protected under the councils and will remain untouched. The mortal governments remain largely unaware of their existence (as they are with most creatures) so should mortals nearly encroach on Elf territory, they will encounter a charm that makes them want to turn back. Should they press further, it is up to the Elves how to deal with them.
Elves share in some of the festivities with their counterparts. They usually live near one another that their cultures are similar. Elves do not recognize Beltane but do celebrate Yule (December 22) and Lammas (August 1). Besides those holidays, we have been unable to obtain any other information on their culture.
