Chapter 14: This Is Us

When you arrive at your friend's flat, she welcomes Jikook with open arms. She has a mini buffet table and drinks set up so they feel welcome. As soon as all of us enter the living room, Jikook are immediately drawn to the beautiful shrine of them over her fireplace. "Did you do this just for us?" Jimin asks her with a beautiful smile.
"I actually did that for me several years ago and I brought it with me when I moved here. It's my daily reminder that love is all around me and that things will get better" she replies with a sad smile.
"Why do you look so sad if it makes you happy?" Jimin inquires with a look of concern.
"I'm so sorry... despite what my face might be saying, it truly does make me happy. I lost my husband a little while back and seeing the two of you together every day just brings me so much joy." she smiles.
"Wow. That's very touching that you think that highly of us." JK chimes in.
"If I had a place in London, I'd visit you every day to see that smile on your face." Jimin sweetly replies. He's such an angel...so caring and thoughtful of those around him.
"Are you looking for a place in London?" she asks, hoping to hear him say yes.
"My friend and I have been looking for a place where we can be young and wild and free." Jimin replies coyly.
"Cut the crap, Jimin-ah! She's well aware of you and your 'friend'. That's why we brought you here." Tae adds.
"It's true" you interrupt, "we brought you here because she is terrific and loves you for you. She supports you and was looking to rent out the other half of her duplex. We thought it would be perfect for all of you. The two of you can be yourselves without worry or judgement and you can keep her company during this difficult time."
"Wow" is the only word JK can seem to conjure up as he looks to Jimin with his bunny smile.
"Is that true?" Jimin looks to her and asks.
"100%!" she says with so much excitement. "I'd love to have both of you here. Your love and joy is infectious. I'd be honored to have you stay here." she smiles.
Jikook look at each other with the love in their eyes that we only catch glimpses of onscreen and at their shows. Jungkook holds his pointer finger out to Jimin and Jimin reciprocates the action until their fingertips touch.
"It's like serendipity" Jimin says with the sweetest eye smiles. "We'd love to stay here!" Jikook says in perfect unison.
Exhaling a big sigh of relief, Tae says "we've been covering for each other for quite a while, so it will be nice to have some of that weight off of my shoulders. As long as Namjoon Hyung doesn't find out, everything will be great."
Jimin pouts "I still feel so bad hiding all of this love from him. For God's sake, his solo performance is all about love and we can't even share any of this with him."
"I really want to tell him too. I hate hiding things from him, especially this, but we all know how he is about the rules. We will tell him when we feel the time is right. Until then, we just enjoy ourselves as much as we possibly can." Tae adds.
"Deal!" Jungkook agrees.

"What we need to do is find someone for him. Then maybe he won't be such a stickler for the rules because love will prevail." Jimin goes on.
"Why don't all of you go out for drinks with him one night and the girls and I will just happen to show up at the same bar. At least then he will get used to seeing us around, even if we are just your "biggest fans". Then it won't come as such a surprise to him when we do finally tell him". you suggest.
"I'll set everything up because I want to tell him sooner rather than later." Tae says.
