Chapter 20: A Work of Art

Tae has a few days off before flying back to Korea for the comeback content. The two of you just want to relax and enjoy each other's company before he has to leave again. You end up strolling around London and dining at your cafe, just as you did the day you met. You end up stumbling upon a local art museum and venture inside.
The art is breathtaking and Tae is so in his element.
"So Vante, when am I going to see some of your works of art in here?" you prod.
Tae gets embarrassed quickly from your compliment.
"I'm looking at one right now" he says.
Now you are the one that's embarrassed. You become even more embarrassed when you start to cry again for no reason.
"Babe, what is it? Are you missing me already? I don't leave for a few days." Tae comforts you and pulls you into an embrace.
"It's not that, babe. I've been wanting to tell you something for about a week but I've been nervous." you start to tell him.
Tae takes your hand and leads you to a nearby bench.
You sit down, hand in hand, as Tae stares into your soul.
"You have two works of art in front of you." you hint around.
Tae looks confused and you realize that you are going to have to spell it out for him.
"Me...and...the one inside of me." you say with a nervous smile.
It takes a moment but the lightbulb goes off in Tae's head.
"Are you serious?!" Tae jumps up in excitement.
You giggle as he jumps around in excitement like a kid in a candy store.
After a few moments, Tae kneels at your feet and kisses your belly.
"I'm going to make you so proud, babe." he says to you.
"You've already made me the happiest girl on Earth." you gush.
"I'm going to be the best husband and father, you'll see" he tells you.
"I have no doubt about that. I've seen you with your nephew. " you reassure him.
"I can't believe I didn't pick up on the signs. I feel so stupid. It all makes sense now. How did you know?" he asks.
"I didn't know." you laugh. "I thought I was just missing you while you were away for Bon Voyage. The girls and I went grocery shopping the one day and I got so sick from the smell of fried chicken, which isn't like me at all...you know that. My bestie started joking with me, constantly saying 'you aren't pregnant are you?' while we were walking around the store. She ended up buying a pregnancy test without my knowledge and had me take it as soon as we got back to the house". you go on to tell Tae everything.
"How am I ever going to be able to leave you? You should come with me!" Tae rambles as he tries to organize his thoughts and emotions.
"I'll be ok. I promise. The girls take great care of me when you're away and besides, you won't be gone that long this time. At least, not until you start the tour" you reply. "The good news is that your tour will be wrapping up shortly before it's time, so you'll be here for everything" you reassure him.
Tae grins from ear to ear, unable to contain his happiness.
