Chapter 36: Always Watching

As the Covid blues start to set in, you can tell that Tae needs something to excite him. Even though he has you and your munchkin bringing smiles to his face every day, he misses ARMY so much. He normally does Vlives or posts on Weverse but he has barely done any of that recently. During Tae's social media absence, you've been scrolling through countless Facebook and Instagram posts to try and stay current on what ARMY wants to see when the boys are able to return. So far, the members have been working on their individual projects, as well as a new album, since they have all of the time in the world right now. It's not enough though...not even close. The members want to see ARMY and perform for them so desperately. They can't get over the fact that their new album might drop before they ever even get to perform "7" live on stage for ARMY. Normally Tae tries to keep up with as many posts as possible and he'll respond to as many fans as he can. He even has a Wattpad account to read some of the fanfics about the members. He blew his cover on that little unknown fact during a vlive when he held his phone up to the camera and had a Wattpad notification. Lately though, he's been in a funk. He's going stir crazy and wants to work but can't right now due to the global pandemic.
While Tae is playing a game online with Jungkook and Jin, you decide to call your best friend to see what she and Sope have been doing to pass the time when the boys aren't working on the new album. You've seen each other a few times since the start of the pandemic, but have been mostly keeping your distance to prevent the spread of the disease.
"Hey girl! Miss you! I was just wondering what you guys have been up to lately to stay sane" you inquire.
You're not surprised when she tells you that she and her boys have been experimenting with every position in the Kama Sutra.
You can't help but laugh because, of course that's what they'd be doing with all of their free time.
Laughing as you speak..."I hope you at least come up for air and food from time to time."
You spend a few more minutes on the phone catching up with each other and then thank her for her lack of help before ending the call. She laughs and says she's available anytime for ideas and then laughs and ends the call.
As Tae continues to play with the boys, you set your phone on your bump and continue to scroll through posts. You come across some more hairstyle edits of your baby, some that you haven't made him try yet. You smile to yourself because the one post from an ARMY states that they swear BTS are looking at their posts, that they're ALWAYS WATCHING, since most of the hairstyles have become a reality. If they only knew that they were right and that you were the one influencing Tae to try these hairstyles. You see a new one that really catches your eye and can't wait to tell Tae to try it for their upcoming press conference.
You walk over and watch him play for a bit until he spins around in his chair and pulls you onto his lap.
"What's up, beautiful?" he says with a smile as he sees your glowing face.
"Baby, did you see any of the edited posts today?" you ask.
His face looks a bit sad when he tells you that he didn't even look at any posts in the past week.
"Lucky for you...I still keep up with them," you say with a small smile. "I came across another hairstyle that you can definitely pull off...one that you've never done before, especially the COLOR. I'd personally love to see you with the color." Your smile grows bigger as you picture him with the new hairstyle.
"Let me see" he says as he tries to peek at your phone.
"In a minute, Mr. Impatient. I want to tell you my idea first" you say as you pull your phone against your chest.
"You act like putting your phone on your chest will stop me from trying to get a peek. If anything, that's only going to make me want to peek more" he says with a smirk as he pinches your nipple and then cups your breasts.
"Baby...I'm serious" you playfully scold him, wanting to tell him your idea before he gets frisky again.
As you're about to tell him, you hear Jin yell through the gaming headset. "GET A ROOM, YOU TWO! YOU KNOW YOU FORGOT TO MUTE YOURSELF?!" Jin laughs and then you hear JK laugh too.
"Shit baby! I'm sorry. I was so excited to see you that I forgot to mute my mic" Tae says as he buries his head apologetically in your chest.
"Let me hear the new idea my beautiful wife wants me to try. I'll try anything for you, babe" he says with a genuine smile, followed by a wink.
"I was thinking that you can get your hair done and then cover it up with a hat at your upcoming conference, allowing only a hint of your hair to peek out at the bottom. ARMY will go absolutely crazy and it will generate more buzz around the new song coming out soon" you suggest and look at him for approval.
Tae hugs you and then kisses you.
"You're a beautiful genius, sweetheart! I love the idea and ARMY will love it too! Seeing a new hair color will definitely be an indicator that something big is on the horizon" he says with his boxy smile. "Can I finally see it now?!" he whines.
You finally show him your phone.
