Chapter 4 |
"You want to help me... kill your father?"
"I just said that didn't I?"
"I don't understand."
"What don't you understand?"
"Oh, I don't understand when people talk foolish bullshit so I wouldn't understand anyhow if I tried."
He chuckled for a minute or so before getting himself back in order.
"You're funny. I like it."
"Ew."
He huffed, "Listen. It might seem weird. But I just need you to trust-
"So you want me to trust the son of the man who killed my entire family?"
"Don't interrupt me while I'm talking." His voice growled.
My eyes widened, "You got it."
"You can believe me or don't. But trust me when I say this, you're not going to even get a foot within my fathers to reaches without my help."
"How much you want to bet?" I stood up-sizing him
I'm 5'3 while he stood 6'6, I don't know where this ball juice of mines came from but I just know that I got them at the moment.
"I can bet your life. You don't know the ins or outs of that building. At least 5 people are covering one door, on both sides. Without me... you're helpless." He whispered in my ear.
He backed away smirking as he sat back down typing away on his phone.
"Fine."
"Sorry I didn't hear you, repeat that." He put his hand behind his ear in a teasing matter
"I said Fine. I'm in, but one thing."
"And that is?"
"Every time you enter that building or having a conversation... you put an earpiece in to let me hear for myself what's going on."
He waited out the quietness in the room for a while until he spoke.
"Sounds like a deal beautiful."
I rolled my eyes bending down on my knees.
"Woah Woah, I thought maybe we could wait until we know each other more."
I sucked my teeth in as I rolled my eyes, "I'm getting my gun from under the couch smart ass."
"Oh. Yeah, I knew that."
"What's your reasoning of wanting him dead anyhow?"
"What's with all the questions?"
I rolled my eyes in response as I got up. I started to leave out when his hand yanked my wrist bringing me back to him.
"You gonna stop rolling yo fucking eyes at me little girl."
"Little?, you couldn't even handle HALF of me."
I yanked my wrist back as I stepped out the door.
"Oh baby trust, Daddy Gonzalo can handle anything." He yelled walking behind me to his car
I stuck my middle finger up as I patted for my phone.
"Looking for this?" He showed my phone as he pulled off."
"You motherfucker," I mumbled.
I speeded down the street behind him as I saw him smiling through his rearview mirror.
"Such an asshole!" I squealed as honked my horn obnoxiously loud as we both ran a red light.
I looked in his rearview mirror again to see him doing the duck face as he held up two fingers.
Busting into laughter he smiled back as he turned into the plaza parking lot.
I followed his movements as he stopped and got out of the car.
"See sweetheart, that's all I wanted."
"What?"
"For you to smile, life isn't always about being upset. Loosen up."
"Well when you ain't got nobody to smile with, ain't no point." I held my hand out for my phone as I smiled to hide the tears.
He waited with a soft smile for me to break.
And I did...
He yanked me into a hug as I burst into tears. I cried and cried as he rubbed my back.
"Even though I hate your guts, your strong. I couldn't imagine what your going through. You almost there to what you here for, you can't give up now."
I nodded as my arms were wrapped around his neck as he wrapped around my waist.
We stayed like that for the next two minutes until I stopped sniffing.
"Gracias." I cheesed
{ thank you }He laughed putting my phone in my coat pocket.
"De nada, whenever you need someone to vent to, just text me.." { You welcome }
"I put my number in your phone so we can stay in contact. And you should put a lock on your phone." He continued
"I shouldn't because people should know not to touch my phone." I smiled as I tapped his nose.
He licked his lips as a smile appeared.
"I'll catch you later ma."
I blushed to nod as I nervously walked to my car.
