Sanem's POV

Mr. Strange. I was falling for him. He is a jerk but a nice guy at the same time. Can you imagine? We met three weeks ago. We seldom talk on weekdays and hang out during weekends.

He's got a good job and nice pay. In fact, it was his father's company so he was like a mini-boss. The funny fact was I still don't know his name, and I love it. He knows my name now, after looking at my school notebooks.  But he still calls me "Miss Goofy".

A loud crashing sound from my mum's room scared the hell out of me. What the hell was that? I rushed to my mum's room immediately.

"Mum are you okay?" 

Mum was sitting on the floor crying while Dad was standing beside her. His eyes were burning red. Broken ceramic and china vases were everywhere.

He was scolding Mum again over an unnecessary reason. Their relationship was really bad since i was a little girl but it grew worse while I was growing up till now. Dad never gave mum the love she deserved. He was always moody, nagging, and going from one trip to another.

I always pity my mum. She didn't deserve a man like a dad. But she loved him so much that she could sacrifice everything in this Dunya for him. Maybe me! Oh, I'm just kidding.

"Mum..." I helped her sit on the king-sized bed. I glared at Dad angrily.

"Dad. Why are you always hurting mum? What is it now?" I asked my dad.

"Why don't you ask your mummy?" He smirked devilishly. "Don't ever talk or speak about her again! This is a warning." He pointed at mum before leaving.

Oh, I get what the fuss was about. The usual. Daddy's ex-girlfriend and first love. She was a black lady. Dad was so much in love with her but I guess he was too possessive and violent that he lost her. After 20 years of marriage, Dad still cant get over herr and always blame himself for losing her.

Mum has the right to be mad, isn't it? I mean she is a woman and she loves her husband dearly.

"Mum. Am Sorry. Always try to avoid problems with dad." I rubbed her back gently trying to console her.

"How can I? When he still remembers and remembers Farha? It's fucking 19years of our marriage." Mum sobbed. She was looking sad and devastated.

I don't know Dad's ex-lover but I hated her with all my heart. She is living her life happily with her family in a beautiful place but my family in chaos.

I hate her. I hate her so much. My family is in a mess because of her. Why? Dad doesn't have a good romantic time with mum. I can't remember the last time we all went out as a family of three to have lunch or fun. Dad was always bringing one excuse or the other and when you try to complain over what he was doing, he turns everything into a fight.

Firash's message popped up my phone while I was trying to comfort my mum.

"Who is that?" She asked.

"A friend wants to take me out for dinner and I don't want to leave you, mum," I said hoping she will ask me to go.

"Hah. sadece bir tarihte dışarı çıkmak istediğini söyle (just say you want to go out on a date)" she rolled her eyes and wiped the tears on her cheeks.
