Jack's POV:
Ugh, I have the runniest nose in Heathrow! I need a tissue, I put my hand under my nose to stop the flow of mucus from dripping onto the sheets, it was unusually warm. With my eyes closed my hand travelled across the bedside table, trying to find the tissue box, that's my phone, that's a comb, Bingo! A tissue. I put it to my nose a blowed, I better not be getting sick. As I pulled the tissue away a huge flow of mucus came out of my nose and spilled onto my hoodie, Jesus Christ! What the fuck was going on? My hand went searching again, this time was the switch to turn the lamp on, I swallowed and a metallic taste filled my mouth. Not a nosebleed, please don't be a nosebleed! I turned on the lamp and opened my eyes, streaks of red all over the bedsheets and my hoodie. It was seeping through the gaps in my fingers, drying and crusting under my nails. BLOOD."Bloody hell!" I groaned as I sat up from bed, I ran into the bathroom and turned on the light. I positioned my face over the sink, letting the blood drip into the basin, splattering like some cool pipette painting. But it was still uncomfortable, I'm not a fan of blood at all.
"Jack, are you okay?" I heard Kirsty call out from outside the room, most likely still in the bedroom.
"I'm having...having a nosebleed...I'll be done soon." I replied, having to take little breaks to cough up some blood streaked phlegm. This was one of the worst parts of nosebleeds, alongside blood clots.
"Oh Babe, I'm coming to help you." I heard Kirsty say, with the rustle of the bedsheets. I kept my head down and tried to breathe out my mouth, I hate nosebleeds, I hadn't had one all year. I felt a hand running up and down my back, then small circles before I felt the bridge of my nose being pinched.
Kirsty's POV:
I found Jack hovered over the sink, his hoodie was covered in blood and his hands and chin were caked."Aww Bubs, you're going to be ok." I said empathetically, I know how much Jack hates nosebleeds. He hates blood generally so this wasn't fun for him. I could feel Jack swaying slightly.
"Jack, you need to sit down. Let me get you some loo roll." I said holding him steady and getting him lean into me slightly as I leaned over towards the toilet paper holder. I ripped of a long strip, folded it and held it to Jack's nose before I got him sat down on the toilet lid. I rolled up his hoodie sleeve and ran his hand under the cold tap to clean off the blood.
"You feel okay?" I asked, looking over at him. I didn't want him to just suddenly keel over.
"Just don't...like blood." He said, swallowing mid sentence. Some blood was coming out of his mouth and he was quite phlegmy. I grabbed a flannel and also ran it under the cold tap, I held it against Jack's forehead with one hand and pinched the bridge of his nose with the other.
"You poor thing." I cooed quietly, I felt really bad for him.
"We need to change the tissue." I said, noticing that the blood was starting to show up around the edges. I got a fresh piece ready and was about to change it, as I started to lift the bloody one away Jack whimpered.
"What's the matter Jackie?" I asked him.
"Blood clot." He said, fear in his voice. That was the worst part of most nosebleeds.
"Oh Baby, I know it isn't going to feel nice but it needs to come out so less blood goes down your throat." I told him, stroking his cheek in an attempt to persuade him. He took a deep breathe, closed his eyes and nodded lightly. I pulled away the bloody tissue and replaced it with the clean one, however a huge slug sized blood clot came out of Jack's nose which mad him shiver in discomfort.
"Well done Clover, it's gone now." I told him, I'd already chucked the tissue in the bin. Jack opened his eyes again and sat up a bit.
"I think it's slowing down." He sighed with relief, the blood had turned into a pinkish colour in contrast to the dark red it was. I cleaned the remains of blood off Jack's hands as the nosebleed finally stopped.
"Ugh, that was horrible." Jack whined as he washed his face with the cold and wet flannel.
"I'm proud of you, you stayed very calm through it all. Get yourself cleaned up, meet me back in the bedroom when you're done." I instructed before heading back to the bedroom. I wasn't going to change the bedsheets just yet incase Jack had another nosebleed in the night. I put a towel down on his side of the bed and took the cover off his pillow for him incase of further damage.
Jack reappeared after a couple of minutes, he had gone to have a drink of water to get the metallic taste out of his mouth.
"Hi Squishy." He yawned tiredly as he padded into the room, it was only then I noticed how adorable his bedhead was at this time of night.
"Hi Bub, before you get into bed can you just strip down into your boxers please?" I asked him, as he undressed I heard him say:
"Kinky." Under his breath.
"Kinky? How am I kinky?" I asked him.
"You want me to strip down so..." Jack explained, doing some sort of hand gesture in confusion.
"No, I want you to strip down so you don't overheat and get another nosebleed." I defined, Jack just winked at me before taking off his sweatpants. I just rolled my eyes and flopped down onto my back against the soft pillows, I was suddenly really tired again. Jack got into bed and started shivering.
"Squish, I'm cold now." He whined, giving me a flash of his adorable puppy dog eyes. I slid over to him and snuggled up next to him, my head laid against his chest.
"Better?" I asked him, his arms snaked around my back and held me close.
"Much better." He whispered before we both fell asleep.
