Based in the English Riviera, my hometown of Paignton, if you get rid of the chavs then it's lovely place to be. I had two beach requests which are different, this one is a date to the beach and I have the other one coming up real soon. Enjoy x ----------- Jack's POV: This week had been a long time coming, the Great British Summer and the magical heatwave we have all been waiting for. It was the perfect time to go the beach, and I had booked us a week long trip to the English Riviera. But the funny thing was that Kirsty didn't know where we were going, it was a surprise!
"Jack, do I need to bring my passport?" Kirsty asked as she finished some last minute packing.
"No, we're staying in the country. Just bring your clothes, toothbrush, makeup, hair stuff. Just the usual." I told her, the only thing I told her was to pack some summer clothes.
"Okay, I'm ready to go." She said as she zipped up her suitcase.
"Great, the taxi just arrived." I said, I had been sitting by the window for a bit with my luggage. Kirsty came with her luggage, she looked really pretty today in her shorts and oversized band T-shirt. We got into the taxi and it took us to the train station, I had the tickets with me already so we could avoid the long queue.
"Are you going to tell me where we are going or do I have to guess?" Kirsty asked as we sat in the little cafe by the platforms, we had some time before our train arrived.
"Guess!" I asked as I rested my chin on my hands, I was curious to see what she would come up with.
"I don't know, Blackpool?" She guessed, incorrect as we weren't heading North.
"Not quite, think more Southern." I hinted, otherwise she'd be guessing for ages.
"Southend-On-Sea?" She guessed, it was South but not correct.
"Nope, but it is a seaside town." I hinted her further.
"Newquay?" She guessed, that was Cornwall which was so so close!
"So close, think the county next to it!" I said she was getting warmer.
"So it's in Devon...I'm not very well educated in the seaside towns of Devon. Please just tell me!" She pleaded, I might as well tell her as our train would be arriving any minute now and she'd see on the ticket anyway.
"Okay, we are going down to The English Riviera and staying in Paignton!" I announced to her.
"Really! I've wanted to go there for ages, aww thank you Jackie!" She said excitedly before leaning over the table and kissing me.
"You're welcome, Squish. I think we should head off to the platform, the train will be here soon." I said as I got up from my chair and picked up my tea, it was in a takeaway cup so I could take it on the train with me. We grabbed our luggage and headed off to the seaside!
Kirsty's POV: I mean, a four hour train ride is long but it was so worth it. We left around eight so we were in Paignton by twelve for lunchtime. I knew exactly what I was in the mood for, fish and chips. Me and Jack walked hand in hand down Torbay Road, passed all the arcades, gift shops and restaurants. We turned the corner near the cinema and the sea was in clear view, but the grand sight was the pier!
