You'll Float Too

In order to celebrate me starting a new oneshot book about the Loser Club, here is Jirsty watching IT together. Sorry, this is not my best work, they randomly start talking about dragons for some reason, but I need requests otherwise I produce gibberish like this where I go off topic.

-----------------------

Jack's POV:

Self-isolation is a drag, there is nothing to do apart from watch films and I found out that Kirsty had never watched the horror film IT before, luckily it just came out on Netflix so I was finally able to watch it with her.

"Nope, nada, not happening Jack!" Kirsty said straight after I suggested it.

"Please Kirsty, pretty please, you'll love it!" I begged.

"You know I'm not a fan of scary movies Jack, I'll piss myself and that would be embarrassing." Kirsty said, to be honest I did wee a little bit when I watched it in the cinema with the Roadtrip boys. We weren't sponsored by IT but we saw it and it was a sick film.

"I'm sure that won't happen, I'll be right there with you to hold your hand the whole time and Vogue will sit with you. It'll be fun." I said trying to persuade her.

"Ummm, I'm not sure Jackie." Kirsty said, thinking hard.

"Well...I've made cookies, I'll give  you half if you watch the movie with me." I persuaded even further, I know how much Kirsty loves my cookies.

"Fine, I'll watch the movie with you. But if it gets way too scary for me then can we turn it off?" Kirsty asked.

"Okay, I hope it doesn't get to that as it is a great film." I said happily bringing her into a warm and comforting hug, after a while a grabbed her sides with my cold finger tips.

"Ahhh!" She squealed before slapping my arm playfully as I laughed at the fright I just gave her.

"I'm sorry, Squish. I couldn't help it. I'm so sorry." I laughed as I gave her another hug, I promised not to do something like that when we watched the film later that evening.

Kirsty's POV:

In a way I was looking forward to watching the film, but horror just wasn't my scene. I was more into chick flics and comedy. But from what I heard from my friends and Jack, even if you don't like horror it has a good storyline and actually has some great elements of comedy. Maybe this would be alright, but any film with Jack's cookies are Oscar winners in my eyes. I was all set up on the couch with blankets, pillows, and Voguey. I had her cradled in my arms like a baby to calm my nerves a bit. The pizza man had just delivered our food which I couldn't wait to get my teeth into, but most importantly there was a batch of Jack's cookies on a plate in the centre of the coffee table.

"Okay, are you ready to watch the movie?" Jack said coming in with our food on our largest chopping board he could possibly find.

"Ready as I'll ever be." I said as I comfortably curled up my legs and wrapped the blanket around me a little tighter, leaving it a loose enough to cover my eyes with should I need to.

"Come 'ere." Jack said pulling me in for a snuggle. I moved up slightly and nuzzled into his side and spread Vogue out over our laps so she was comfy. Jack went onto his Netflix account and turned on the movie, you know this is going to be scary when a creepy child is singing 'Oranges and Lemons' over the logo display.

I had my eyes glued to the screen as I slowly picked up a slice of pizza and got ready to take a bite, by this point Georgie was chasing his paper boat down the street. It seemed alright so far, pretty sweet and the actor looked adorable.

"Nooo! Bill's gonna kill me." Georgie said as the boat fell into the storm drain, poor guy. I hope he gets his boat back, I thought to myself as I took a bite of the pizza. Suddenly, two glowing eyes appeared from the storm drain, I jumped and shivered out of the shock, I should've expected that. Jack wrapped his arm around me and rubbed my back, that helped to calm me down, I snuggled into him as only now I gathered that this was going to be a scary pivotal scene. Our first introduction to Pennywise the Dancing Clown, he reminded me how clever child abductors are, not clever as in I approve of the idea, but how clever they are at manipulating a child's mind to make them friendly despite 'not supposed to take stuff from strangers'. Yeah, but your parents never told you to talk to clowns in full makeup that live in storm sewers!

"Come on...take it!" Pennywise said very creepily, sending chills down my spine, but I have to applaud Bill Skarsgard's performance as he made the character truly creepy. Suddenly, Pennywise grabs Georgie's arm and bites it off, as he scrambles to the over side of the road a hand gradually emerges from the sewer and pulls him in.

"Oh my god!" I say in shock as I fall into Jack.

"Why Georgie, he was so innocent!" I said feeling upset that he died.

"I know, it's such a shame." Jack told me.

After a little while as the main characters are introduced, I am in love with the 80s style.

"What is it about 80s kids that have to hang out in gangs and ride around on bikes, they chase after something scary and their parents are oblivious?" I asked Jack, there was a sort of pattern to these films but this one executes it well.

"A movie mystery we will never know, or we could just ask someone who grew up in the 80s." Jack said before grabbing the remote and pausing the film.

"Jack, what are you doing?" I asked, I wanna know what happens!

"I need a piss, I'll be right back." Jack said getting up from the sofa and heading to the bathroom.

"Hurray back!" I called out before covering my body with my blankie again, I was actually really loving this movie. More than I thought I would. Jack soon jumped back on the sofa and I laid in between his legs, my back against his torso.

Pennywise emerges from the fridge in a twisted pretzel like form, I felt Jack's body shudder.

"Jackie, are you scared?" I asked, feeling good about myself as I felt really brave.

"N-No, just weirded out." Jack told me, he wasn't convincing.

"Does this mean that I'm braver than you now, and I have protect you from things?" I asked Jack.

"What things would you have to protect me from?" Jack asked me.

"I dunno, dragons?" I answered.

"Yes, I need you to protect me from dragons Kirsty. That would be so selfless and heroic of you, I would be eternally grateful if you were my personal dragon slayer." Jack said before kissing my head, I felt honoured. I smiled before nuzzling my face into his chest whilst humming cutely.

"What do you think would happen if you ate a dragon scale?" I asked curiously, I paused the movie again as we spoke off topic about dragons.

"I don't know...maybe...you'll float too!" Jack said, in a creepy possessed voice. I leaned back a bit as a creepy smile spread over his face and his eyes widened.

"You'll float too, you'll float too, you'll float too!" He chanted as he started chasing me around the living room, I had started running away as the whole atmosphere was starting to make me scared. Suddenly, Jack was nowhere to be seen until I felt the ice cold touch of his hands on my sensitive and ticklish stomach.

"AHHH!" I screamed as I tried to wriggle from his grasp.

"Gotcha! I scared you, now I need to protect you from dragons." Jack said as he loosened he grip on me and gently pulled me in for a cuddle. I gave him a quick spanking for scaring me but all was forgotten.

"Why are we talking about dragons? Let's just watch the movie." Jack said, oh yeah. We got back on the sofa and cuddled up together. It was a really great movie, I think during the lockdown period we should purchase IT Chapter Two. I think I've become obsessed with horror films.
