Jack's POV:
I'm so excited, nervous and slightly impatient. But I was only impatient because I was couldn't wait to meet our daughter. Kirsty was coming to the end of her pregnancy, it had been one of the longest nine months of my life. It was probably even longer for Kirsty having to carry our precious baby girl around inside of her, she was so strong through the whole pregnancy with ever symptom that hit her. She was a rockstar through morning sickness, had very yummy cravings which was a little perk for me, never let a headache get her down. Kirsty was a real life superhero, all women are superheroes.
"Jackie, I'm hungry." She said coming into the living room, she had just had a long bubble bath and was wearing a fluffy dressing gown. Her belly was visibly round still, our little girl was in there. Vogue ran towards her as quick as a flash, circling her and brushing up against her legs. She's been really protective of Kirsty since she's been pregnant, it was really cute. I picked up the pup and held her in my arms so Kirsty had some room to move around, she sat down on the sofa with me.
"Okay, what do you want to eat?" What were today's cravings?
"I want chicken balls, chips and fried rice from Woks Kitchen. Please, pretty please?" She asked snuggling up against my shoulder, flashing me with puppy eyes. She was the one eating for two, she was the one with the cravings, anything else I'd make her would probably make her feel sick so I was obviously going to order the Chinese food. I love Chinese food.
"Of course Squish, if that's what Baby Squish wants." I said leaning over and talking to Kirsty's bump. I've passed on Kirsty's nickname 'Baby Squish' and passed it on to our daughter to be, as she was now the baby. I kissed her tummy before gently rubbing it, I could feel her kicking, a little tear came to my eye.
"Aww Kirsty, she's going to be our little dancer." I cooed going all soft, I loved her already. Kirsty grabbed my hand and smiled at me, tearing up herself. It wasn't too long now before we could actually meet her, I could feel it in my bones and I had this feeling deep in the pit of my stomach...or maybe that was just the hunger settling in.
"Okay, let me order dinner then we can just have a relaxing night in." I said grabbing my phone out of my pocket so I could order via Just Eat.
We ate our dinner whilst cuddled up on the sofa, Vogue was asleep next to Kirsty's lap. We were both very tired so we thought an early night would be good for us, every night I was double checking our hospital bag and making sure that we prepared should Kirsty's water break unexpectedly. However, no baby during the night. In a way it was a relief as we were very tired but each day that goes past I get more and more excited to see our baby but she isn't ready to come out yet and say hello to the world. I woke up really early after a good night sleep, Kirsty still snoozing away in bed. I silently got out of bed and decided that I'd add the finishing touches to the nursery, I still had some things to sort out. I had to put away some gifts from the baby shower and move the furniture around, the paintwork had been finished for months though. Me and Kirsty were so excited that we already started decorating, we got Andy and Rye to help us paint the walls a gender neutral colour of light blue and put up some Disney character wall stickers around the room. I sat on the floor and folded up the baby clothes that we had recently received from friends and family, it was quite relaxing and it gave me some time to think. Vogue came in and sat on the rocking chair, watching me fold away.
"Morning Bubba." I heard Kirsty say, I looked up and she was standing in the doorway rubbing her bump.
"Morning Squish, did you sleep well?" I asked her.
"Not too well to be honest." She said kinda sadly.
"Aww Kirsty, is evening okay?" I asked, getting up from the floor. I went up to her and gave her a hug and kiss.
