Jack's POV:
Winter weather is only nice when you are at home, curled up on the sofa with a cup of tea with the heating on. It isn't particularly nice when you are stuck in the cold walking home, there was no point in driving to the local shop when it's just a ten minute walk and all I needed was teabags so I slipped a hoodie on and just went. The cold air hit my face like a truck, making my sinuses tingling unpleasantly but I didn't sneeze at all. As I walked along the pavement I noticed the sudden blasts of cold wind that made my whole body shiver and tense, I should have probably put on more than just a hoodie. I was freezing my bullocks off! I browsed around the shop, I got the teabags but I also decided to buy some biscuits as I wanted a little something to eat with the tea. I paid for my items, doing so I was mentally preparing myself for the cold weather outside. I had gotten so toasty in the shop that I'd practically die out there in the cold. I slipped my hands into my front pocket and pulled the strings of my hoodie as far as they would go before just sending it out of the shop. I hit the ice wall instantly, it was hard to walk through and I felt constantly pushed back against it. I powered through with all my might until I finally made it back home. I quickly got inside and shut the door behind me, I could feel goosebumps all up my arms as the insulating heat made me feel a whole lot better. Vogue heard me come in and ran to me.

"Hi Voguey, how are you today?" I asked as I gathered up my food and teabags and made my way to the kitchen, Kirsty was already in there. She was putting two pizzas on a baking tray for lunch.

"Jackie, you're back! Oh my lord, you're freezing." She said pulling me in for a bear hug, her body heat warming me up. I closed my eyes and enjoyed her touch.

"It's quite chilly out there, do you want a cup of tea?" I asked putting the items on the counter.

"Aww, Jack let me make it. You risked your life going out there." Kirsty said taking the teabags from me. I rolled my eyes and smiled.

"This is England, not Antarctica!" I said making my way to the living room sofa.

"What's the difference?" Kirsty called out as I flopped down into the cushions. I got comfy, I got right up into the corner of the sofa and pulled the throw blanket over my cold feet. I suddenly felt the urge to cough, I turned away from the sofa and coughed into the crook of my elbow. After that I noticed I was wheezing slightly, please say I'm not getting sick. All I wanted was teabags and biscuits, not a fucking disease! I coughed again before leaning into the cushions sadly, I didn't feel ill but I was sure I was catching something.

"What wrong Munchkin?" Kirsty asked as she came in with our tea.

"I think I'm *cough cough cough* getting sick." I told her putting a hand to my chest as I coughed.

"Aww Babe, really?" She asked coming closer, she felt my forehead before cupping my cheeks gently.

"You don't feel warm, should I get your inhaler? You might just need a quick puff on that." Kirsty asked, I thought for a second. Changes in weather do impact my asthma, I nodded as I coughed again into my elbow.

"Okay, I'll be right back." She said before leaving the room, if my asthma was acting up then I should probably sit up straighter instead of lounging. I wriggled my body upwards along the cushions, this might help. Kirsty came back in with my blue inhaler, I put it to my lips and had a quick puff. I breathed out before putting it on the floor, that helped.

"You okay now?" Kirsty asked sitting down next to me.

"Yeah." I said, I was still wheezing a bit but my coughing was less frequent. I cuddled with Kirsty for a little bit and tried not to worry too much.

Kirsty's POV:
Jack had been out in the cold for a while, it was making his asthma act up a little bit. He had a puff on his inhaler which helped a little but after a while the coughing progressed again and he was wheezing a lot, he kept brushing off that he was fine but I was quite concerned. I heard the oven timer go off, I went to the kitchen to take our pizzas out. I used a spatula and slid them onto a huge chopping board to eat off, it was easier than plates, I took it into the living room and placed it on the coffee table. I looked over at Jack, his hand fixed to his chest as he tried to breath. He was breathing really, really fast!

"Jack, are you okay?" I asked him seriously, I was worried about him. His faced scrunched up in pain as dry, hacking coughs took over his body. He shook his head as he started gasping for air! He couldn't breathe! I dropped to my knees and picked up his inhaler, I put it to his lips and puffed it for him. After thirty seconds I puffed it again, this continued up to ten puffs until Jack could breathe properly again. He was quite shaken up about it, it had been a long time since he's had an asthma attack. I sat down next to him and pulled him close to me. He rested his head on my shoulder as he started to cry.

"I-I w-was so s-scared!" He cried, I rubbed his back to try and calm him down. Crying and panicking wouldn't do him any good.

"Sh-sh-sh, I know Jackie, I know you were scared. You're okay, it's over now." I said softly, rocking him gently. I kissed his temple and sat with him for a bit until he felt better.

We went to his GP later that afternoon just for a check up, they said it was most likely caused by the change in weather. From the sudden change of hot to cold. He was advised just to take it easy for a while and not be outside too long, we got home and cuddled for the rest of the day as we had nothing planned. However, when I woke up I noticed how red and runny Jack's nose was. He sneezed into a tissue very forcefully before shivering under the covers.

"Squish, *cough cough* I'm poorly!" He whimpered sadly, he unfortunately did get sick from the cold. Wrap up warm kids!
