Jirsty are parents again, Madison is three years old and in pre-school but has caught one of the most iconic childhood illnesses, I'll let you guess from the title. Enjoy x

Kirsty's POV:
It is true what they say, when kids are ill they're not themselves. I've never really got how that feels until right now, this wasn't Maddie's first time getting sick but she had never been this sick before. I picked her up from pre-school today, I noticed she looked pretty pale and sluggish, her teacher told me at the gate that I should probably keep an eye on her. I knew then that she wasn't well. I felt so bad for her, she's normally a happy and healthy little girl and she hates when she's sick. But she hasn't ever really had more than a cold.
I was laying on the sofa, cuddling Maddie close to my chest as we waited for Jack to come home. Maddie had been complaining of a headache and muscle aches not long after we got home and her flushed cheeks and shivering body gave me the hint that she had a temperature, I gave her some Calpol to try and help before getting her all cosy in her pyjamas. We've just been snuggling with Vogue and watching Disney movies since then.
"Poor Baby." I cooed before gently kissing her warm forehead, I rubbed small circles on her back to try and soothe her as she started whimpering sadly. It just melted my heart seeing her so sad.
"Aww Bubs, you don't feel well at all, do you?" I cooed with empathy as she gripped onto my hoodie like a little koala.
We stayed in that position cuddling for a while until I heard the door open, Vogue jumped off my legs and ran to greet Jack at the door. I sat up slightly and placed Maddie in my lap.
"I heard someone feels poorly?" Jack cooed as he came into the room.
"Dwaddy." Maddie said as she made grabby hands for Jack, he picked her up and held her close. He gently swayed with her before kissing her head.
"How's she been, she hasn't been sick has she?" Jack asked, I hadn't given him too many details over the phone.
"No, nothing like that. But she has a fever, got the chills and feeling pretty achy all over, she didn't want any dinner either." I told him, Maddie was starting to grip him like a koala too. She was adorable even when she wasn't feeling well.
"Poor Baby Squish. What hurts the most, Sweetheart?" Jack asked Maddie, leaning her back into his arms so he could see her pretty face.
"Hwead." Maddie replied sadly, pointing to where it was hurting her. Jack placed his hand on her forehead.
"Aww, you're really warm Bubs." Jack said, giving me a sad pout. I knew he felt the same way I felt, just so sad for our little girl.
"I'm cold, Dwaddy." Maddie said as she shivered into Jack some more for warmth.
"I know, Baby, I know." Jack cooed as he started to rock her again.
"I think she is due another dose of medicine, then maybe an early night." I said getting up from the sofa.
"Good idea. You tired, Princess?" Jack asked Maddie, she nodded slowly into his chest. Jack followed me into the bathroom and I got out the Calpol and the plastic medicine spoon from the medicine cabinet. Luckily, Calpol have found a way to make medicine actually taste nice so Maddie didn't mind tasting it and the pink colour made it even more appealing to her. I fed her the medicine which went down pretty quickly, I put the bottle away before we took our sick baby to her bedroom. Jack laid her down in bed and got her tucked in, I leaned over and grabbed her teddy bear and placed him in the crook of her elbow to cuddle with. Me and Jack both knelt down by her bed.
