Can't Stand The Heat

Jack's POV:
This holiday was just what we needed, two weeks in Lanzarote was a great idea. It was me, Kirsty, Finlay and Holly on the trip and we were staying at this lovely beach resort. We landed around mid-day yesterday so we just explored the complex and chilled by the pool before going our for dinner, nothing too tiring as we woke up early to drive to the airport. We went back to our rooms and had a good nights sleep and whilst we were at breakfast this morning we decided to go on a hike, there were a couple really tall hills outside of town which we could walk up. We all liked the idea, get a bit if exercise in, take a couple of Instagram photos. We finished eating and stole a couple of bread rolls from the buffet incase we got hungry, before getting a taxi, we all went to the shops to get some water bottles as we couldn't drink tap water and the sun was blazing today.

"Do you think this will be enough?" Asked Holly as she grabbed a case of about ten, I think that would be enough for us as we wouldn't be walking too long and if we stumbled across a pub or something we might stop for a drink anyway. We paid for the water and left the shop, I put on my sunglasses like everybody else. It was a beautiful day but very bright, not to mention boiling hot! We got in the taxi to take us up to the trail as it would be too far to walk on foot, it was a literal oven in there. It felt so good to be out once we got there, we all took a couple sips of water and headed up the hill. I held hands with Kirsty, swinging them as we walked in time, I liked her outfit today. Cute denim shorts and what appeared to be one of my T-shirts that was tied up at the front to protect her sensitive shoulders from the sun, we all had our factor 50 on today and stacks of aloe vera to last us the trip. I could feel the sweat starting to form on my face, I grabbed a water bottle and poured some on my face before taking a couple sips. Very hot it practically condensed into a mist!

The trail was becoming quite steep as we approached the top, my and Fin were slowly dragging ourselves up the hill as Holly and Kirsty had decided to race up the path.

"Jack, come on! The view is amazing from up here!" She shouted as they both looked down at us from above, the sunlight shone from behind them so I couldn't see their faces, which was annoying as this would have made a pretty picture. I playfully pushed Fin into the shrubs next to us before running up the path to catch up with the girls.

"Ow! Jack what are you doing man? Ow, my ass!" I heard Fin shout from behind me as I approached the top of the hill, the sunlight hit me like a truck and I felt like I was some sort of God basking in glory! I turned around and saw Fin clutching a buttock as he limped up the path, I giggled to myself  as I watched in amusement.

"Jackie, that was mean." Kirsty told me, but not very seriously as she tried to contain a smile.

"Well I was just excited to see the view, and you were right. The view is gorgeous from up here." I said before grabbing Kirsty's waist and pulling her up onto my hips. She screamed out of the surprise of it before I leaned in and kissed her, I felt her legs wrap around me tighter as we made out passionately under the lovely Mediterranean sun.

"Ugh, get a room guys!" Fin said as he faked a gag, Holly slapped him on the shoulder.

"Ow! Why is everyone abusing me today?" He said, annoyed and confused. We all just laughed at him and decided to take a couple of pictures at the top of the hill.

"Anyway, is there any more water Holly?" Kirsty asked after we took a couple pictures, even a group Tik Tok.

"No, sorry. Fin just drank the last one." She replied.

"God dammit Fin!" She exclaimed in frustration.

"What did I do?" Fin asked confused again, we were just messing with him.

"Should we try to find a Pub or something?"I suggested, there are loads of Irish Pubs on the island, I've done my research.

"There hasn't been a pub round here for miles, I think we should just go back to the complex and get ready for the beach party tonight." Holly said, I had almost forgot that we had planned to go to the beach party tonight. Our resort had it's own private beach and every Friday night they have a rave of some kind that sounded interesting, much more interesting than us watching the kids disco for two hours before the entertainment to start.
