Kath's POV:
I drearily open my eyes, and sit up on my bed. I put my hand to my bottom lip, as I peered next to me. No one was there. The last memory I have from the previous night was my kiss with Elliot. A smile suddenly enters my face. The passion, the energy: it all felt so real, so genuine. I rub my forehead. What did it mean for us? What really happened? I then turned to my right and noticed a small slip of paper on the nightstand next to me. Confused, yet curious, I picked up the paper and unfolded it.

Dear Kath,
I'm afraid that I have committed a terrible act. One I surely am not proud of. What happened those nights ago, was a mistake, as was last night's encounter. I do not want to see you anymore. I can't see you anymore. I am leaving for a while. Goodbye.
                                           -Elliot

What? Why would he-? My face went pale and my heart sunk. I suppose kissing me was just another screw up. I guess there's just one more person who doesn't want to commit to me in any form. Now, I've lost one of my best friends... and there isn't a thing I can do.
