Metamorphosis: Lup Oras

Chapter 20

She was looking in a white room and she was wearing white. White fog covered the whole room and a figure started to appear in between in. As it got closer, she recognized who it was, her sister Adalin.

“Addy,” Ezzy said running up to hug her.

“What in the hell are you doing here, Ezzy?” Adalin asked.

“I don’t know, you tell me. What happened?”

“You were in a...fight,” Adalin said slowly. “Oh no! You’re...”

“Dead?!” Ezzy asked in outrage. “No, this can’t be right. Lup Oras...the guys...mom and the kids?”

“Ezzy, calm, you can go back, and you must.”

“But...what if I don’t want to?”

“Ezzy you must, it’s not your time yet.”

“But...”

“No, buts Missy! You have to go back. This is wrong. You have to go back and help them. Without you, they’ll all die,” Adalin said worried.

“Addy, I miss you. It was my fault you died to begin with. Maybe this is how things are supposed to be.”

“No, they’re not! I took it because you needed to be there. I knew what I was doing, Babe. My destiny was to save you that night, and that’s purpose enough for me. I didn’t regret it then, and I don’t regret it now,” she said tears now streaming down her cheeks.

“Something’s not right,” Ezzy said.

“What do you mean?” Adalin asked.

“You’re here, and Adrian, Nora, and Charles died to. Shouldn’t they be here?”

“Oh, they...uh...they were sent to hell. They didn’t make it past judgment.”

“Something’s still not right. My...real dad...he should be here shouldn’t he?” Ezzy asked looking at her.

“You have to go back now! If you don’t you’ll be stuck here forever.”

“Addy, I don’t want to go back. My life has been full of it and you know it!”

“But things will get better. I promise. You’ll be back anyway and I will be here waiting for you and Aunt Evelyn.”

“Aunt?!”

“Ezzy, please, you have to go back. They need you!” Adalin urged.

“Who?”

All of the sudden an image popped out of thin air. It was her laying there and Victor and the others doing everything they could to revive her, all of them crying. Her mother and her siblings were safe and out of the mirror. There was the man that had saved her and Elias. Sweet Elias, the love of her life.

“They love you, Ez. They need you. That whole city does,” Adalin said.

Ezzy took a deep breathe before asking, “Are you sure I will see you again?”
