Sadly, all good things come to an end.

Although Niall is very sick and having terrible pains, he managed to put on a smile during the entire day.

Niall's last few hours were spent at Tommy's Rocket. Niall's parents, brother, Zayn, Liam, Louis, Tom, and I kept him company throughout the whole day.

We socialized as if nothing was wrong, even though we were all very mortified. We laughed till our stomachs hurt, and we conversed about all the great things in life.

Eventually, that came to an end, of course.

Everyone has said their goodbyes to Niall by now. Well, that is, everyone excluding me.

Niall's family went to talk to him first, later on followed one by one with the lads. Zayn was the last to speak to Niall. The last before me.

When I walked inside the bedroom I have been sleeping in with Niall for the past few months, I felt a sudden wave of sadness flush over me. I trudge my way over to the pale boy and sit beside his laying body on the bed.

"Hi." I say ever so lowly.

"Hi, Harry." He croaks, making my eyes become a tad watery. I guess it's finally hitting me that Niall won't be here anymore.

"I know it's probably a stupid question to ask, but how are you feeling?"

❝I'm feeling better now that you're here.❞

I smiled, "You know, a couple of months back, I made you promise. Do you remember what it was?"

Niall smiles at the memory, ❝Yeah. You promise me you'd give me the best goodbye before I left.❞

"Mhm. Now, here's me taking action on my promise." I let out a puff of air before starting again, looking directly into Niall's eyes as I say, "Niall Horan. I know this is probably really late and I should have asked you this sooner, but earlier I couldn't find the right words to say to you, but here I am now, making up for lost time.

Since the day we first met, you gave my all too dull world, life. I knew you were different when I first caught a glimpse at the look of confusion on your face when you strummed your guitar to an all too familiar song by Keane. I remember approaching you and asking if you sang, and you blushed a deep red and shook your head. That was the day I met Zayn, too. I remember you walking into John's diner and I asked for your order. You were with Zayn that time as well, and I met Liam and Louis because of you.

I remember you tapping on my shoulder and handing me that sign language book that held your number inside, and you kissed my cheek. I remember being so surprised by your actions that time. I remember everything. Our first date. Our first kiss. Our first 'I love you'. Our first time together. Absolutely everything.

Listen Niall, I love you so much to the point were I don't know where I'd stand if it weren't for you walking into my life.

I had always pictured us in the future. You know, getting married on the tracks, re-opening 'Unknown Pleasures' and making it our own little shop. Having kids named Liam, Narry, Diana, and Darcy. Heck, maybe even having another one and naming her Carly like you always wanted.

I love you Niall. I truly do. I love you so, so much. And like said before, this is really late, but I'm asking anyways; Niall James Horan. We are both fools in love, and have been since the very begging. So Niall, will you please do me the honor and marry me?" I finish my rather long speech with a teary-eyed Niall and a ring being held at his directions.

He nods quickly, "Harry, oh my god. Yes." I shakily slip the shiny object on his ring finger, then wiping the tears from his cheeks right after.

"I got mine right here." I say, showing off my own ring.

Niall smiles at it, grabbing my hand and placing a light kiss at the skin where the ring was located at.

"I love you, Harry." He whispers, tears still streaming down his face.

"I love you, Niall Horan."

The two of us laid down, Niall's head laying on my chest as it suddenly went quiet.

But that was soon replaced when Niall started sobbing.

"Sh, Niall. It's okay, baby. I'm right here, love. I'm right here."

"It hurts, Harry. Everything hurts."

Tears formed at the brim of my eyes as I saw Niall in pain. As I saw Niall dying.

"I love you. I love you so so much, Niall." I said, rubbing Niall's arm up and down soothingly, tears springing silently down my eyes as I did so.

Niall looked up at me, pain evident in his icy blue orbs.

"I love you, Harry. You have been the most important thing in my life since the first day we met. I love you so much and you're going to be okay, Harry. I want you to be happy after I die. For me, please. You are the most amazing thing Harry, and I love you. I love you more than anything. Thank you. Thank you for everything. And thank you for keeping your promise. This has been one ride, Harry. Thank you. You know, the world is not a place for happy people like me. My time is up. I have to go now. I'll miss you terribly. I'll see you soon, Harry." Niall said tiredly crying, his eyes slowly closing.

I shook Niall's body, "Don't go. Please, wake up. Niall, wake up. I love you." Niall, of course, didn't respond and I started to shake violently as I sobbed.

Niall's dead.

It hit me. And it hit me hard. I couldn't contain the loud sobs that left my lips, my eyes becoming too watery to see clearly. "Niall. Niall. Niall." Was all that came out of my lips.

When I finally realized that Niall wasn't coming back, I said two simple words. Two simple words that I learned to use well.

"Carry on."
