I looked at the piece of art in adoration. The numerous of different colors of paint were splattered across the huge poster, the funky little strings and puffy colored cotton balls were glued around the perimeter of the square, Niall's sloppy handwriting spelled out the names of the months in blue marker, and the numbers of days in each month were stamped by glittery stickers.

I was looking down at a poster with many calendars that is of now, completed. Niall and I have been working on this small project for a week, now. We would have got it done sooner, but with Niall having to visit the hospital every so often because of his terrible headaches, and with my work schedule in the way, we didn't have much time to do anything.

❝Beautiful, isn't it?❞

❝It's perfect.❞ Niall turns to face me, his braced teeth being shown off.

The piece of art that lays before us, is a huge poster filled with calendars, a total of twelve months and 365 days, marking a whole year.

Niall's last year, actually.

We had already marked the days that have gone by, which completed about a whole month.

It's strange to know that Niall and I only met a few weeks back, and here we are, constantly kissing and sometimes acting like a couple and all.

I guess we really are two fools.

I wrap an arm on Niall's small figure, and he lays his head by my chest.

We stay like this for a moment. A comfortable silence fills the atmosphere around us, the only sound coming from our low breathing.

"Guess we should put it up now, right?" I say, ever so quietly.

Niall nods and shifts himself over to the poster that laid on the floor of his bedroom. The two of us carry the poster to the empty wall where Niall's bed was located at.

❝Tape or pins? Which will hold it up better?❞ Niall signs as we lay the poster on his bed.

❝Tape. Pins can easily fall off and I don't want them to fall close by your eyes while you sleep. Ya never know, next day you can wake up and you feel a slight pain and it'll all be because of those pins. So, tape is best.❞ Niall chuckles at my statement, but agrees anyway.

He saunters his way on over to restroom in his room, opening up the cabinet by the sink and pulling out a patch of clear duct tape.

The two of us stand up on his once neatly made bed, and push the poster to the wall. I hold up the large calendar in place as Niall struggles to find the end of the tape.

I let out a small laugh, and Niall looks over to me; a cute little pout on his lips, making me smile brightly.

"Hand it over to me, see if I can help." He obeys and places the tape on my palm.

I place my thumb at a random location of the tape and I start to stroke it around, trying to feel a small bump.

Once I had found the end of the tape, I cut off four pieces and drop the rest of it on the bed. I hand two pieces of tape to Niall, and he takes them with his two fingers and sticks them to the corners of the right side of the poster, well as I stick the other two pieces of tape on the corners of the left side of the poster.

I looked at the poster with a proud smile. Niall and I did this, together. As I continued admiring the poster, Niall unexpectedly takes my rather large hand in his smaller one, linking our fingers together. The two of us smile with our eyes still glued to the poster.

I'm going to miss this feeling when he's gone.
