From A Distance

One Step Closer

After learning you're in the same industry I've watched a couple of your stages.

I was one of the audience who excitedly cheer on you. 

I never had the opportunity to be on the first seat but seeing you is enough. 

It's been half a year and we've been trying to make up our mind what our group name would be. 

Orange... Bellybutton... 160... to name a few.

After brainstorming we decided to go out and eat.

"I'm hungry" says Hyejin.

"There's a restaurant in Gangnam-gu that I really like. Do you want to check it out?" asked Moonbyul.

"Come on, come on!" added Solar

Followed by a series of laughter. 

As we were on our way to the restaurant, it didn't hit me until I became familiar with the place.

The place is near his company. I felt my heart raced as we continued our way. 

Once we arrived, Moonbyul asked for a seat. They weren't that busy so we got a seat easily.

We were sat on a table right next to a curtained table few feet away. As I was looking at the menu I heard another group of people come in and was seated on that table. 

We ordered food and started a game while waiting for it.

We played kung kung ta and I keep messing up and ended up with the punishment of drinking the juice we have. We didn't buy any alcohol since we had to go back to the company.

I drank probably three glasses before the food arrived.

I excused myself to go to the restroom.

"I'll be back. Don't eat all the food" I exclaimed

As I got up and walk, one of the people on the table right next to us opened the curtain and bumped into me.

My phone dropped so I picked it up.

I looked at the person and he was wearing a mask.

"I'm so sorry!" 

"Are you hurt anywhere?" he asked

I didn't get to say anything, I spaced out. 

I'm not dreaming am I? I know it's Taehyung even with a masked on. How long do you think I've watched you throughout our school days. 

I quickly came back to reality when my phone rang. 

I looked and Hyejin was calling.

I looked back at our table and she waved the meat at me.

I looked back at him for a quick second. He was also looking at our table. Before he looked back at me I averted my eyes and looked at my phone as I hung up Hyejin's call. 

"I'm alright." I said

"Are you sure?" he asked again.

I know I'm getting red with the distance we have. So I kept focusing looking down.

"Yeah I am. I have to go." as I bowed to him and ran to the bathroom.

When I came back to our table, everyone was looking at me.

"What?" I asked.

"You should've told us, don't start romance everywhere Wheein." teased Moonbyul.

"One guy stopped by and gave you drink and a dessert." said Solar.

"I just bumped into him, he probably just felt apologetic."

"Boooo..." said everyone in unison.

I know they were just messing around but deep inside I was screaming of happiness. 

I went along with their tease and started taking a sip of my drink while acting cute. 

I took a bite of the dessert that he gave me. When I lifted the plate to pass to everyone to try it, a piece of paper fell out with a smiley face on it.

I picked it up, I'm not sure if it was from him or it's just a note that got stuck on the plate. I placed it on my purse as a remembrance of meeting him once again.

We were there for so long that the people right next to us left before we did. I tried to get a glimpse of him once again before he walked out of the door. 

I just wished I can watch him longer...
