It's been a a few days since dress shopping. My head was confused. I needed Quinn to call me back. Yes, I did pick out a dress, but I know what I'm doing... marrying Jason... is wrong. I know that I shouldn't be debating over my high school sweetheart and this guy who I fell in love with right after Sebastian and I broke up in college.

"Why would I still wear a necklace to my ex and not wear the jewelry I get from my current fiancé." I muttered to myself.

"Honey! I have some amazing news!" Jason barged in through the door. I quickly threw my phone on the couch for no reason.

"Hey, love. What's the news?" I went up and kissed him.

"The chief called me and he wants me... or us... to move to Australia." He looked fairly ecstatic.

"Australia?" I stammered.

"Well, I was offered a job opportunity that cannot be passed up. He offered me a promotion meaning i get to be in charge of an entire squadron." He explained. "And when we were dating, I remembered you telling me how you would love to live in Australia one day."

"Yeah! When I was maybe 50 and after a long successful career! Not when I just move to New York and just kick started my career!" I said in a frustrated tone.

"I thought this would be amazing for the both of us, but I guess I assumed wrong." He stated.

"Yeah, you did." I growled as I grabbed my purse and made my way towards the front door of the apartment.

"Where are you going?" He asked.

"Rachel's! Unless you want to make that decision for the two of us as well." I groaned as I scurried out.

How could he just assume that I would pack up my entire life again and move out for his job! New York and Los Angeles is the prime spot for actors and actresses who are just starting off. I'm not property. We aren't even married.

After a long walk, I reached Rachel's and Jesse's. I needed to vent. Since Quinn isn't picking up her phone, Rachel was my next go to. I knocked on the front door. She answered.

"Hey? What a surprise it is to see you?" She gave me an odd look.

"Sorry to interrupt your evening, I really just need to talk to someone." I sighed.

"Yeah, yeah, come in." She nodded. "Are you alright?" She asked as I stepped in.

"Well, my fiancé decided that we should just move all the way to Australia because he was offered a promotion!" I yelled in frustration as we went to her small dining room. She got up and grabbed a bottle of wine and two glasses.

"Didn't you say how you always wanted to live in Australia?" She pointed out.

"Well, maybe when I had gotten the most out of my career after I turn fifty." I sipped the glass of wine she had poured. "It's not that I don't want to live there, it's just the fact that he expects me to give up my career and pack everything up away from my friends across the globe."

"I can see why you're mad..." she paused. "If I may...?" I just nodded. "Well, when you first were moving out here to New York, he had a job that never really gave him a choice on where he wanted to go..." she paused. "Considering he did everything in his power to move out to New York to support you and your dreams, he did put his career on hold practically. He was still able to work, but he was there at your beckoning call. He may not have been living up to his full potential in his career field."

"I do think that it was his choice in the first place..." I sighed.

"Elle, I know you aren't a fan of this arrangement; however, you do have the ability in your career field to travel around. He doesn't always get that luxury." She paused. "I'm not saying I want you to move halfway around the globe to follow a guy, but I am saying that maybe you should hear him out. Like I said, you can easily travel for movies, Broadway, tv shows and even for music. He has to go wherever he is told to. Considering he was offered a promotion, maybe consider it. Don't shoot it down right away until you hear him out. Don't let your rash instincts determine everything for you. He clearly loves you more than a job."

I thought about what she said. She's right. We are going to be married, and I should at least do him the respectful thing and consider it.

"Thanks Rachel. That's what I needed to hear." I smiled.

"That's what I am here for." She sipped her wine.

"By the way, where's Jesse?" I furrowed my eyebrows. "Isn't he usually here?"

"He's off at some directors convention for Broadway Productions in New Jersey. He should be back tomorrow." She shrugs.

"Huh, fun." I nodded.

"So are you going to go home and talk to your fiancé?"

"Yeah..." I sighed. "After this glass of wine." I chuckled.

After the long conversation and a glass of wine, it was about 9:30. I began to make my way home, and I noticed a familiar face in the restaurant window.

Sebastian...? He was sitting a nice restaurant, and it appears he was with some girl. That shattered my heart seeing him with someone else.

I shook it off. Fiancé... I hurried home through the beautiful city night life and got back to my apartment. I tried not to make so much noise. Normally Jason was in bed by now. He was never really the night owl like I was. I quietly changed and got ready for bed as I slowly got into bed.

"You're back?" I heard him yawn.

"I didn't want to wake you." I tried to remain calm.

"Listen, I can turn down the job. I get it... you have a demanding career. I don't want your job to suffer." He sat up against the headboard.

"No, I can't ask you to do that." I shook my head as I sat up and faced him.

"Well, I want to be with you and be with my soon-to-be wife." He pointed out.

"I never really realized that you put your career on hold for me..." I paused.

"Oh..." I can see the facial expression.

"Listen to what I have to say first..." I rolled my eyes. "As much as I hate the idea of us being apart in another long distance relationship and how much I hate the idea of moving across the globe, if I had to chose, I would rather be with you where you won't hate me. Where you'll be happy doing something you love."

"I don't want you to put your career on hold for me..." he points out.

"Well, my career is more portable no matter where I go... you deserve this promotion. I don't want to be apart from you." I looked into his chocolate brown eyes. I can see his grin grow across his face.

"Have I ever mentioned how much I love you." He smirked as he kissed me.

"So you've told me." I chuckled.

"There is only one little problem..." he pointed out.

"What?"

"I have to leave next month, and the chance of me getting to fly back for our wedding day is low." He pointed out.

"We will just move the wedding for a few days before we move out there, then..." I suggested.

"Are you sure?" He furrows his eyebrows.

"Affirmative." I nodded.

"Well, what are we waiting for... we have a wedding to reschedule." He commented.

"How about we go to bed and then start moving things tomorrow." I suggested.

"Deal." He kisses me once again.
