~August~
Being back in New York definitely has its perks. The big problem I had was getting on a plane, but I ended up sleeping the entire way anyways.
My alarm went off. I glanced at the time—7:15. I carefully and quietly began to move my body out of my sheets. Sebastian was passed out.
"Where are you off to so early?" He croaked.
"I have the meeting with the lawyers, remember?" I pointed out.
"Right!" He shot right up. "Do you need me to go with you?" He asked.
"Uh—no. I'd much rather do this alone and just get it over with. I want to just move on." I shrugged.
"Alright, let me know if you need me." He pointed out.
"Thanks." I smiled as I went into the bathroom and began to get ready for this treacherous meeting. I put my hair in a low pony tail after doing my make up. After doing the rest of my morning routine, I put on my clothes.
I grabbed my phone, purse, and car keys and slowly began to walk out of my apartment. I began to type in the lawyer's office address in my phone as I made my way to my car in the parking lot.
After a long drive, I finally arrived at the office. I sat in the car staring at the building. I don't want to know what caused the plane crash. I don't care. I just want to move on. I was in the hospital for pretty much the entirety of July. I want to live my life. I already have a few scars from the surgeries and I think it is a painful memory to think about.
I took a deep breathe and got out of my car. I locked my car behind me and made my way into the city building. It smelled like marble. Everything was beige. It was boring. I already know what this was going to be like sitting for an hour or so.
"Hi, i am Giselle Archer, and I have a meeting with Mr. Johnson? Can you tell him I'm here?" I told the receptionist.
"Will do." She smiled as she dialed a phone. "Hi, sorry to bug you Mr. Johnson. You have your 9:00 client, Giselle Archer." She stated. "Alright, I'll let her know." She smiled. She hung up the phone. "His office is on the fifth floor." She smiled.
"Thank you." I nodded. I walked over to the elevators and pressed the up button. I waited for the elevator to come down and open its doors. When elevator doors opened, I stepped inside. I pressed the fifth floor button. The anxiety was killing me. Whatever happens in this meeting will just remind me of everything.
I got up to the fifth floor. I walked the ling halls followed the map. I reached the room. I took a deep breathe and knocked on the door. I heard a faint 'come in!' I opened the door.
"Hello, I'm Mr. Johnson. I'm a friend of your dads." He introduced himself.
"You must know my name." I let out an award smile.
