Giselle Archer, the girl who graduated McKinley, is now graduating Yale University and heading off into the world of Broadway. She finally confessed a secret engagement to her friends with this military man, Jason, who was deployed to New York City...
It's been a few weeks since the show ended. Haven't spoken to Sebastian since opening night. Matter of fact, he and I barely see each other. When we do, he turns the opposite direction.
It's getting closer to the holidays, and when I say that—I mean it's two days until Christmas. I was doing a Christmas charity concert in Central Park. My manager had set it up last month. I just had no time to rehearse. I had convinced my high school band to come and back me up.
"So where is Bethany and Jack?" I asked Elliot as I set up the mic on the stage. We were rehearsing in a space we had rented out.
"They said they hit traffic."
"But isn't Boston only an hour away?" I asked.
"Let's just say they probably were making out on the couch when they should have left." Elliot pointed out.
"When did that happen?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Uh—a year ago." Elliot commented as he finished setting up his drum set.
"So how is Marie and Oliver?" I brought up his wife and child.
"They are doing well." He nodded. "They are actually at the hotel pool right now."
"Fun." I nodded.
"Elle!!" I heard Bethany scream as she ran up from behind me and hugged me tightly.
"Hi Beth," I smiled. "Hey Jack!" I waved.
"It's been so long!" Jack joined in the group hug.
"Almost five years?" I chuckled.
"It was fate. The gang is back together." Bethany clapped.
"I guess I'll set up the keyboard even though this is your instrument." Jack rolled his eyes.
"What's wrong with him?" I asked.
"He's just mad that I don't want to live in a shoebox and would rather work five jobs and afford a decent place." She started up an argument.
"I'm just saying—that maybe you should consider starting off small and work your way up the apartment chain." He growls.
"Okay—why don't we all calm down, and get excited that we are playing in Central Park in Christmas Eve." I reminded.
"Right!" Jack nodded.
"Alright, so what kind of Christmas covers do we want to play?" Elliot questioned.
"Well, we can do a mix of Christmas classics and some of the songs we want to." I suggested.
"Sounds good." They all agreed.
"Who else is performing at this concert?" Jack asked.
"Uh—Kurt and Blaine; Rachel and Jessie; and there are a few more acts, but it's just a charity benefit concert to raise money to buy the kids at the hospital presents. So nothing extravagant." I shrugged.
"It's incredible what are doing nowadays." Elliot states. "Yale Graduate, Broadway Lead, Benefit concerts." He brought up.
"The fame, the luxury, I'm jealous." Beth whined.
"Girlie, it's much more difficult than it seems." I chuckled. "Anyways, let's start rehearsals."
Christmas Eve. I wore a red dress that had black ribbon sleeves. My hair was curled. I wore black flats.
