This mission was going to be interesting. We had just met Saw Gerrera, and learned of the imprisoned Wookies, which we were going to save.
Kylin and I were pushing out way through undergrowth to reach the Imperial sap refinery, which seemed like it was getting close.
"I've never seen so much foliage in my life," Kylin muttered, pushing long grass down with her staff. "Except maybe Bogano, that had some plant life. But this," she gestured to the vines and grass. "This takes the trophy."
I laughed. "Yeah, it definitely isn't Coruscant."
She whipped her head around. "Coruscant?" Confusion clouded her eyes, and even a little... pain. Realization suddenly replaced anything else, leading me to second guess what I saw.
"Ohhhh yeah, Coruscant was where the Jedi temple stood." Kylin turned back around and began pushing forward.
"Yep," I replied, hacking down some tall grass with my lightsaber.
We finally came to an opening, which looked down upon the beginning of the refinery.
"Down there," I pointed, receiving a nod from Kylin.
Jumping down, we were met with a small squad of Stormtroopers.
They were taken down with ease, though we needed to get to the other side of the sap.
The only way across was the steady, mixer-like thing in the middle.
"We gotta get across there," I said, turning to look back at Kylin.
"Yeah but- how?"
"Watch this," I told her, grinning slightly.
Using the Force, I slowed the large machine in the middle of the sap.
Kylin's eyes widened in awe. "How did you do that?"
"No time to explain, c'mon," I answered, grabbing her hand.
Her cheeks flushed red at the sight of our intertwined fingers, and I had to look away to avoid her seeing me doing the same. What is this feeling, Master? I've never felt like this before.
We jumped, ran across, then jumped again to make it to the other side.
Kylin sighed in relief, a grin on her face. "That was actually fun, wow," she said, laughing lightly.
I grinned, catching my breath.
We stood like that for a moment, and I had only just come to realize that I was still holding her hand.
Kylin noticed, too, and gave me a sheepish smile before gently pulling her hand away.
"Climb up," I said, looking at a small control room just above us, where two Scout Troopers also stood.
"Fun," Kylin said, and BD-1 beeped at me.
"BD-1 says you have a way with sarcasm," I told her, and she just shrugged.
"Maybe a little. Sorry if it's uh, affecting our mission." Kylin looked away.
"No no, it's okay, you should've seen me on Bracca," I told her with a slight laugh.
A small smile grew on her face, and her blue-gray eyes twinkled.
"Alright. Shall we?" I asked.
"We shall."
Climbing up the side of the control room, we made it inside and took down the first Scout Troopers.
A small squad of ranged troopers were on our left, beginning to fire at us.
