Kashyyyk had not been fun.
I was constantly being plagued with thoughts of Kylin on the Mantis. Not that it was a bad thing, but it was a bit bothersome as I couldn't figure out what that feeling was in my chest.
I need answers. And I will get them, somehow, some way.

I walked back to the Mantis, tired after my fight with the notorious Ninth Sister.
The door opened, and I saw Kylin sitting on the couch.
She jumped up when she saw me, her eyes wide.
Kylin crashed into me with a hug. "We thought something happened to you! You never answered on your comms!" She looked up at me, still holding on.
"I'm okay, Ky. Really, don't worry." I gently pushed her off of me, seeing Greez staring with plates of food.

"It's okay, Cere, really."
But it isn't okay, part of me thought. Cere's lies hurt all of us. Including Kylin.
Why has she been preoccupying my thoughts lately?
We had went back to Bogano to rest and recuperate from Kashyyyk.
"Hey Kylin," I said, looking over at my friend who was very clearly bored.
She looked up at me. "Yeah?"
"Come outside with me." I gestured towards the door with my head, watching as she stood up and walked over.
"Uh, okay? What are we going to do? It isn't exactly a playground." She seemed skeptical, which was oddly unlike her.
"Just come on, I wanna show you something." I grabbed her hand so she would stop protesting.
Kylin sighed, but there was no more complaining.
I walked with her until we ended up in a quiet area behind some vines, and surrounded by rock.
Kylin looked around in awe. "It's actually quite peaceful here, did you find it when you first arrived?"
I nodded. "Yeah. There used to be bog rats in here."
She shuddered. "Blah."
I laughed. "You don't seem to like nature too much."
A taken aback look crossed her face. "I don't mind plants and such, and most creatures don't bother me. But bog rats and spiders? No."
She was something else.
I suddenly realized what I had wanted to show her.
"Hey Ky," I said, grabbing her hand and pulling her over to me. "Look."
I unclipped my lightsaber and ignited both ends. I had made it dual bladed on Kashyyyk.
Kylin's eyes filled with wonder. "Woah! How did you get it like that? That's amazing!"
I handed it to her, closing her fingers around the hilt.
"Cal, c'mon, you know I can't." She was about to hand it back to me, but I shook my head.
"I want you to try it out, Ky. It isn't a 'short weapon.'" I gave her a look.
She sighed in defeat. "Fine. But if I get stabbed I blame it on you."
I laughed. "No, because it would be your fault if you got stabbed. But don't worry, I'll help you. You'll be fine."
"Alright, if you say so."
