It was time to go back into Hell.
Greez had just landed us on Dathomir, and gave Kylin and I the speech about how red sunlight isn't good for skin, etc.
Kylin inhaled sharply as we stepped outside. "Definitely did not miss this place," she muttered.
I put a reassuring hand on her shoulder.
"We got this," I said, starting to venture back to the tomb.
Now that we had went through that Nightbrother village, and we had both got those climbing claws, we were able to climb up the lichen-like walls.
We stood in front of the tomb, right where we had meditated before.
I glanced at Kylin as she kneeled down and closed her eyes.
I did the same, and prepared to face my past.
I was back in front of Master Topal.
"You were unwise to come back her unarmed," he seethed.
I calmly pulled out my new lightsaber. "I'm not unarmed."
He snarled and raised his lightsaber above his head, ready to strike me down.
But when he swung, he faltered.
His lightsaber stopped right above my head, so close I could feel it's radiating heat.
"I'm sorry I was unable to save you, Master."
He didn't answer.
"I have dedicated myself to your teachings, Master. I will honor your memory."
"Good," he said. "Remember: Trust only in the Force."
I nodded.
Back in the tomb, I looked over at Kylin who was still kneeling.
Unexpectedly, she stood up, shaking her head before looking at me.
"You okay?" I asked, walking over and putting a hand on her shoulder.
She shrugged and sighed. "Relatively. You?"
"I think I'm alright. Let's go."

We soon stood in front of Taron Malicos, after forming an uneasy trust with the Nightsister, Merrin.
"You could've had it all," Malicos snarled, pulling out two red lightsabers.
"Malicos, you're insane," Kylin shouted at him, pulling out her staff. I didn't know what a staff was going to do against a laser sword, but that was what she had.
"Maybe I am." The power crazed old man charged at me.
We were locked in a battle, clashing lightsabers and petty insults echoing throughout the tomb.
Kylin would come in and distract the man, hitting from behind then dodging his attacks so I could strike him.
We got to a point where Malicos stumbled, and Merrin immobilized him.
"What is this?" He spat.
"It is like you said, Malicos," the Nightsister seethed. "Dathomir will be your grave." She sent him down into the ground.
"Let him lie in the dark with his secrets. Until death take him."
Merrin and I talked about the astrium, and she decided to ally with us.
I looked over at Kylin, who had been silently staring at the murals on the walls.
"You ready?" I asked, referring to the ending of our journey on Dathomir.
She turned towards me and nodded. "Oh, yeah, sorry."
Merrin watched as Kylin and I jumped across stone towers to get to the astrium.
"There it is," I breathed, reaching out to grab it.
Ky's eyes widened in wonder. "Wow."
I looked over her and grinned, unable to control myself as I pulled her in for a kiss. She wrapped her arms around me and returned it, before pulling away with a slight grin. "Now we just have to find the holocron."
"To Bogano," I agreed.

After returning to the Mantis with Merrin, and having Greez set course for Bogano, Kylin and I walked back to her room.
"Ky," I said, decided I would address it now.
"What's up?" Her hand had barely moved from her shoulder area since we retrieved the astrium.
"Move your hand." I walked closer to her.
She snorted. "My shoulder aches from all the moving around we did, that's all. I'm just uh, just trying to stretch it out."
I rolled my eyes. I knew she was lying to me. Reaching and gently lifting her hand from her shoulder, I could barely contain myself.
Her shirt had been torn, and there was a gash on her shoulder.
"Kylin? What. Happened."
"He just grazed me," she muttered. "I wasn't fast enough. It doesn't even hurt, Cal, I knew you would get worried."
"For every right reason! Of course I would worry, you got hit with a lightsaber!"
Kylin sat down on the floor. "Cal, it's fine. Stop worrying."
I sighed and turned towards the door, headed for the bathroom. "I'm at least making sure it's clean."
She didn't protest as I came back and began wiping at the wound with disinfectant.
"I'm fine Cal, I promise."
BD-1 beeped at Ky.
"BD, I know that you know I don't understand what you're saying," Kylin said, seeming a tad annoyed with the little droid.
"He said that you seem annoyed," I translated for her, laughing at the irony.
Despite her annoyance and frustration, she laughed too. "That's ironic."
I nodded, catching my breath.
"Okay I'm going to go see when we're going to be at Bogano," I said, standing up.
Kylin nodded too, still grinning.
She was happy.
I was happy.
