Dez reached for another piece and I handed him the box.

"I'm done, you guys can have it," I whispered as I turned and headed towards my room. Dez called out behind me, but I was done with talking today. I heard him curse Pierce and turn to head towards the movie room, pizza box in hand. Jon simply slipped away without a word.

I burst out crying when I reached it. The tears welled up behind my contacts causing them to sting worse. My Comm Unit tumbled off and opened up. The fox came on the screen and then jumped back at the weeping with a frown. I threw off the contacts placing them carefully in their box and laid back down curling up with a pillow.

The fox started to sing some lullaby and I looked up at him confused. He smiled at me with a wink and continued on his serenade. I watched him for a bit and found my eyes actually closing. He pulled a blanket up next to me on his screen and laid next to me in silence as I drifted off to sleep.

I barely awoke when I felt hands on me moving me the right way around on the bed and pulling blankets around my shoulders. I snuggled back into the pillow and was asleep again.

I was woken up by Mrs. Galloway weeping in Pierce's stolen couch and I groaned as I turned over and looked at her. She looked up at me and her eyes were a deep crimson red. I sat up and beckoned her to me. She came over and I hugged her to me like a mother to a child.

"What could possibly have you crying," I asked gently and she looked up at me.

"I don't have anyone to go to the ballet with me tonight," she wept and I looked at her in confusion.

"Surely Mr. Galloway would take you," I soothed her.

"He had an emergency on another planet," she wept again.

"And Pierce, yes, I'm sure he would take you," I reassured. She burst into tears again.

"He hasn't wanted to go with me since he was little. It would hurt his image," she sniffed and I smoothed her hair again.

"Well, I would love to go with you," I forced out. I had never been to the ballet before. Going to the ballet with her seemed like a mistake.

"You would," she peeked up at me with hope in her eyes. Her tears were magically gone and I questioned her antics.

"Yes, of course," I smiled down at her and she jumped up. There was a small click in my ear and I brushed my hand against it. What is in my ear? I got up and ran to the mirror to find an older version of a receiver for Comm's before they came out with the wrist screen. Odd.

"Well if we are going tonight, we need a spa day," Mrs. Galloway jumped up. "I look a wreck."

What did I just get myself into?

                ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I felt wonderful when I got back. Mrs. Galloway literally glowed brighter than the sun. Jon wore sunglasses in the car to fight her glare, mockingly.
