Violet,
Beware. A man arrived recently and pushed a million dollar reward for leading them to you. I know you must be around and I fear for your safety. Be safe.
Bebe
P.S. Thank you for helping Angel and I. I want you to know we are happy and I hope you will be someday too.
"Perry, did you hear anything I said," Helga snapped at me. I looked over at her and she pinched her nose in frustration. "I give up. You don't concentrate. It's obvious you're not a fighter. You proved that with Dez. So, there is one option left for you. I pray you have marksmen in your blood. Otherwise there is no hope for you."
Helga tossed me a gun and I smirked as I looked down at its yellow exterior. I played with the clip and quickly realized it was a toy. I glanced up at Helga with a frown. She shook her head as she motioned for me to follow her.
"Like I would trust you with a real gun," she grumbled as we slipped into the car. "Training first, then if you prove yourself, I may give you the real thing."
I played with the gun in my hands clicking the safety on and off. Helga watched me with interest.
We pulled up to a building made popular by the younger population. I frowned as I looked back at Helga and she shrugged. Some training, this was a war simulator for teenagers to play fight. I used to play something similar on Earth with lasers and a vest. The only difference, here is if you get shot, it simulates the same thing in pain. Needless to say, getting shot in the chest knocks your breath away and you possibly could pass out.
I groaned as we walked in and Mr. Galloway and Pierce stood at the front desk talking to a red haired boy with freckles and a rather large nose. Mr. Galloway smiled as I approached. Pierce glanced at the counter as if the flyer was interesting. Next to them were twenty five or so younger boys, fourteen at best. I looked at Helga and she smirked at me.
"Don't underestimate them," she warned and handed me a harness and sensors for the wrists and ankles.
When I was all hooked up, I entered the arena with the boys and a man with the universal stripped shirt indicating a referee blew a whistle and pointed up to the board. It was all of them against me and a new girl on Mr. Galloway's staff. Of course they would stock the odds. Helga motioned me to her and I overheard Mr. Galloway and Pierce behind her.
"500 credits she cries with the first shot," Pierce chuckled to Mr. Galloway. What a jerk?!
"You are on. I think she is tougher than that. 500 additional credits she doesn't hit any of them," Mr. Galloway nudged Pierce.
"Sure. Even a Pandorian has a lucky break every now and then," Pierce scoffed as he turned and glared at me.
I'm glad they are getting amusement out of this. Helga tightened something and I looked back at her and she shook her head. I flicked the safety off and headed to my designated section. The other girl's legs shook as she stared over at the boys who were laughing and high fiving at the "easy kill".
