"Perry," Helga called out to me. "You have to get up. Let's go."

I rolled over and fell off the couch I had slept on. I groaned as I stood up and grabbed the table for support. On the table was a Comm with Grog and Phoenix staring at me with blank stares. I smiled. This caused them to smile back before continuing whatever they were doing.

I looked up at Helga who looked as if she was unsure of what she should do. I moved past her and headed out the door. I wasn't happy about going to school today but I would. I tripped over something and when I turned I was shocked to see Angel laying there asleep. I bent down and admired his face before shaking him awake.

"Hey sunshine," he smiled at me before standing up. "I'm glad to see you are okay."

"What are you doing here," I ask staying a few steps back.

"Apologizing," he rubbed his neck in an awkward manner with a groan. "I figured it's my fault he had that desire. Though, I thought he liked Fever. It's weird. I mean you're beautiful sure but Dez usually likes his less independent and stuff."

I couldn't help the slight blush at being called beautiful even if it was by Angel and not by the one I really wanted to hear it from.

"You shouldn't have stayed," I forced out and he smirked.

"I figured someone should have," Angel grumbled. "Since Pierce didn't."

I shook my head as I bunched my torn shirt in a fist near my chest. That statement hurt. I hated him right now for speaking the truth. Pierce had chosen her in that situation. It was apparent now I was nothing to him.

Angel stood up and his Comm flicked open. His background was a picture of Bay Breeze dancing around the pole in her typical outfit. I raised an eyebrow at him and he blushed slightly. He shut it quickly and adjusted his outfit before slowly getting to his feet.

"Is that your girlfriend," I asked and he blushed slightly.

"No. You see. She's ummmm she isn't ummm she isn't like us. She is poor. A working girl. She goes by Bay Breeze at a bar. You are too classy to know anything about that," he turned looking at a picture on the wall.

"I may know something," I grumbled as I turned and walked towards my bedroom. I jumped in the shower. I was startled when I glanced at my arms and discovered mass amounts of bruises that traveled up them. I shivered slightly as I bent down into the shower hiding in the corner. I pulled my hands around my knees and rocked slightly letting out my tears. I let myself have this small cry and then be the tough independent girl I apparently I am.

I turned off the water and got ready for school. As I walked out there Angel stood in a uniform. He looked better in the uniform than the gray sweater he wore earlier. It was easier to see every curve and muscle. I couldn't help but smile.

"Pierce won't mind me stealing it," he smirked as he turned and motioned towards the door. "I hope you won't mind me tagging along this morning."

I shrugged. As we made our way to the car, I noticed Pierce's bike still in the driveway.

"I want to apologize about that kiss, Perry. I never meant it to result like that. My sister made me do it. I hope you can forgive me," Angel glanced over at me before tucking a piece of hair behind my ear. I hadn't gotten the chance to pull it back and it was currently trying to consume my face. I shrugged as I glanced down at my hands. Could I forgive him?
