"Let's go, Perry," Helga grasped my ankle firmly and pulled me off the couch.
She, literally, dragged me down the hallway as I clawed the floor in protest. I tried to kick her, but she would easily redirect the pressure using her grasp and I would end up flying forward hitting my chin off the floor in the process. Four doors later, I gave up fighting and just slid along using my efforts to keep my head from slamming against the floor.
I waved to staff who glanced at me as if I was the immature one in this situation. Pierce stepped over me balancing some type of tray of drinks in his hand acting as if I didn't exist. I reached out for his foot, but Helga moved too quickly. Lucky for Pierce, I missed it otherwise he would be dragging along beside me. He walked up to a door before typing in a code and walking into a room.
As Helga dragged me past, I was able to see Mrs. and Mr. Galloway, Jon, and a few people in suits with clipboards. Pierce was the addition to the room and handed out the drinks. Mrs. Galloway smiled down at me as the door shut. I became extremely nervous when we stopped the next door quite a distance away from the original door.
"Training time Princess," Helga chuckled as she let my leg go. It landed on the floor with a thick clunk and I let out a small cry at the pain that ensued. I glared up at her and she shrugged as she pulled out another laser gun. "You were sleeping through your session."
"I could have walked," I grumbled as I grasped the gun and aimed it at her head. "Bang."
She burst out laughing and punched in a code. The door opened with an ear piercing screech. It sounded like this room hadn't been used in quite awhile.
"Ever heard of I.Q.," she asked as she pushed me into a small room with various equipment hanging.
She examined each suit before handing me a black one with neon pink stripes running the length of my body on either side. I nodded as I slipped it on and slipped the laser into the holster before turning back to grab the overly obnoxious pink helmet. I slipped it on. It reminded me of those helmets the Power Rangers would wear on that tv series Phoenix is obsessed with.
I had always watched this game, never feeling the need to try it. It was an older video game system, one of the first that interacted with you. Now, you can sit down and feel as if you're moving with your character without actually moving. Talk about lazy. Back when this game was created, they were doing a physical fit movement. It helped fight a lot of obesity on the planet. I mean addicts will be addicts and play no matter what.
I stretched slightly before turning and heading towards the door. I glanced back at Helga who crossed her arms as she examined me.
"Do you always train using children's games," I questioned and she raised an eyebrow at me.
"Only when the person is so blockheaded that they don't respond well to my original curriculum," she scoffed as she turned and headed out of the room.
This usually consisted of strategy and puzzle games. It had become popular with rich preppy boys who liked to challenge each other to show off their manhood by forcing the game with their brawn. Yes, anyone who is strong could climb their way to the top, but only a calculating person could play the game as it should be.
The door opened and I took a sigh before walking out in the giant simulator floor. Currently, it was a giant black cube with thin green lines breaking it down into smaller cubes. I stepped into the middle and glanced up at the window above me. They had all moved closer to the window and were glancing down at me with interest.
