Although shopping was over, Mrs. Guilles was spending the day with the gang. It seemed that Hailey was opening up to her. They had spent two to three hours planning and talking about the wedding in the kitchen while everyone else watched movies in the living room.

Seth whispered to Hana, "What's up with Hailey?" He was sitting next to Logan on the couch.

Jake, sitting on the floor, nodded. "Did you guys bring the wrong girl, or what?"

Logan added, "She wouldn't be talking this long with her step-mother."

Hana shrugged. "I don't know either."

Lucas's toy fell on the ground, and she picked it up and gave it to him. He was sitting in between her and Logan.

Hana sneaked a peek at the two girls behind her. "They're getting along much better now."

"Yeah, but it's totally weird not seeing her being disrespectful to her step-mother." Jake acknowledged. "It's just not Hailey."

"Hana!" Hailey said from the kitchen. "Your phone's vibrating."

Hana's phone was charging in the kitchen outlet, and she ran over to get it. "Hello?"

"Hey." It was a guy's voice.

"Victor?"

"Victor!" Hailey exclaimed. She rushed over to the phone and made a ruckus. Shouting near Hana's ear, she said, "Hey! I'm Hailey! Are you going to ask Hana out today?"

Hana signaled Hailey to hush, and Hailey giggled at the shy sight of her friend.

Back in the living room, Jake blinked. "Victor? As in our Victor?"

"There's only one Victor that we know, Jake," said Seth.

"Hana's boyfriend," Logan blankly said with no sense of emotion. To channel his curiosity, he started flicking the toy Lucas was chewing on.

Victor chuckled through the phone. "Your friends are with you?"

Hana nodded. "Yeah, they are." Why is it that she could never speak or say more than three words to him?

"Am I bothering you right now? I guess it's not a good time, right?"

Hana sensed his disappointment, and she immediately explained the situation. "You're not disturbing anything. We finished shopping for dresses and just got home."

"Shopping for dresses?"

Hailey gasped and whispered, "Oh! Why didn't I think of that?" She tapped Hana. "Invite him to the wedding as your date!"

Hana pulled the phone away from her ear. "I can't do that!"

"I'll take care of it! He'll be under my care like you guys. Do it." She headed back to Mrs. Guilles and before continuing their conversation, she did an 'ok' sign for Hana.

"Hana? Are you still there?" Victor asked. "I can call later if you want."

Hana said, "Sorry. Hailey had something she wanted me to do."

"What is it? You don't have to tell me if you don't want to. Just because I'm your boyfriend doesn't mean you have to tell me everything, so don't worry."

Although it was her first time having a boyfriend, she couldn't believe how much the word "boyfriend" was being a hassle for her. It tied her down. It suffocated her. It made her his.

"GO WITH US TO THE WEDDING!" Hailey shouted.

The boys and Hana perked up. Hana even flinched and turned around in shocked as she immediately covered her cell phone, hoping Victor didn't hear.
