"You okay?" Logan asked Hana as he looked up from his packing from opposite her. He and the gang were getting ready to leave the cruise once it got back to the dock.

"Yeah, why?" She looked around the tidied bed that took two whole hours to clean because he kept getting her off-topic by doing one of his one-man acts.

He had pretended to be a maid and competed with her in seeing who could clean up the bed in the most perfect way ever. Because he was making a joke out of it, they never got to cleaning until seconds ago when they overheard that the passengers would alight in a half an hour. "You okay leaving the brat behind and going to the beach?"

She let out a laugh. "Who says I'm leaving him behind?"

"You're not?"

"Nope. I'm taking him."

"Didn't you say you're worried about him getting sunburn and dehydrated?"

"Yeah, but that doesn't mean he should stay." She paused and looked at the sleeping angelic Lucas on the bed. "I want to spend his first beach debut together." She looked at Logan, and he looked back.

Without no words, because there wasn't a need for any, the friends shared a smile.

The friends got into separate cars that the Guilles had prepared for them to get home when they landed on the shore.

As Hana strapped and secured her son into his car seat, she overheard Hailey shout to them, "Remember, this weekend!"

Hana blinked. "This weekend? I thought we're going to the beach next weekend."

Logan rushed Hana into the car and when she didn't look back, he gritted his teeth and shouted back to Hailey, "Hailey, stop talking about 'it.'"

Hailey knew Logan caught on and grinned. "I don't know what you're talking about."

Logan closed the door to the car and said to Hana, "Don't pay attention to her—or to what she says." He attempted to change the subject. "Got everything? You and the brat okay?"

"Yeah, we're good," answered Hana. "But I think she's trying to tell you something."

He shook his head. "No, no. She's 'crazay.'" He tapped the driver and said, "You can go now."

The driver started the car and drove away.

Logan was relieved, falling back onto the seat.

Hana noticed his relief and wondered if Hailey's slip from before wasn't a slip at all. Maybe it was about something else.

Arriving home, the couple was too lazy to unload their luggage, do laundry, and take a shower because the hot scorching afternoon tired them out. The only one who had enough energy to do anything was Lucas, who had awakened from the two-hour nap he had during the drive. They also slept during the bumpy car ride, but it wasn't comfortable enough. As they watched Lucas amused himself with his toys, they questioned how in the world was he able to sleep through the ride when they weren't.

Hana, massaging her forehead while her head rested back onto the couch beside another tired Logan, said, "They really went all out."

He nodded. "They really did. But no matter how tiring it was, the smile they gave each other the entire time was worth every ounce of sweat."

She laughed. "Yeah." Her laugh and smile slowly ceased, and she thought back to the wedding. It was very extravagant, and she wondered if Mr. Guilles would ever regret putting so much money into it, not saying that he was a greedy man because he wasn't. But she couldn't come to an understanding of why a groom would do so much for his bride. She had always thought that the guy would sleaze off, just like how her brothers-in-law had sleaze off on their wedding nights. They'd get drunk halfway of the ceremony and then passed out.
