"Ready for the mock exam?" Wallace asked Victor in the school corridor, putting an arm around his shoulders. "Or did you go out with your girl last night and didn't study at all?"
Victor shrugged off his friend's hand and continued to walk to class.
Wallace caught up with his friend. "Did something go wrong yesterday?"
The two friends stopped in front of their classroom door.
Victor exhaled. He didn't want to be those kinds of boyfriends that get overly jealous about every stupid little thing, but at the same time, he couldn't suppress it anymore. He was her boyfriend, not Logan, so that did mean that he could be possessive about his girlfriend and assumed things too. "They kind of had...like a couple team or something. And she and Logan were a team."
"And?"
To Victor, Wallace's tone sounded as if Wallace was implying a 'what's wrong with that?'
"What did he do to your girl?"
"He didn't do anything bad. It's just...I wanted to be the one to teach her."
"Logan taught her?"
Victor nodded.
"And?"
"He didn't verbally teach her."
"How else can you teach if you don't say it?"
"He did speak to her...but he didn't have to...He didn't have to stand directly behind her, or wrap his arms around her, or place his hands on top of hers, and hold the bat along with her. I could've done that—I wanted to do that."
"You can teach her next time. I'm sure she'd like—"
"It's not the same." Victor stopped walking and turned to look out through the window. Wrong choice. At a good distance, he saw Hana and Logan hop through the school entrance together.

It was a Saturday morning, and Hana woke up hearing familiar voices downstairs. She sat up. She fixed the blanket over Lucas and slowly got off the bed to head downstairs. Because it was cold, she grabbed Logan's jacket that was by the bedside and wore it. She took her time to get downstairs and heard Hailey and Jake debate about something.
"No, pink!" exclaimed Hailey.
"Blue!" shouted Jake.
"PINK!!!"
Hana put her hands over her ears and rushed to the kitchen, which was where her friends were. To her surprise, she saw countless papers and stacks of books on the table. "What are you guys doing?" She also saw an unexpected friend too—Sylvia.
Everyone but Sylvia ran to the front of the table and blocked whatever was on the table.
Logan hissed at Hailey and Jake, "You guys were too loud!"
Hailey put her hands on her hips. "Hey! It's not my fault! We're going with pink!"
Jake demanded, "No, blue! He's a boy!"
Logan and Seth stopped their friends by covering their mouths.
Hana ignored them and walked to the fridge. "You guys ate yet?"
Logan got an idea and went to her. He pulled her out of the kitchen. "We haven't, so why won't you and Lucas go shopping? We're gonna barbecue today."
She whispered, "About that, how come Sylvia's here, and does she know everything already?"
"Jake wanted to invite her, so I let. By the way, I told her this is your house, and I have a key in case you lose it."
"Why would I lose my key?"
