"My father?" both Logan and Hugo asked at the same time.

At first, Logan's pitch was low—in an expected, questionable tone. However, when he processed what his friend had said, his pitch rose as he repeated his question.

Seth nodded. "On the night Hana was going to be discharged—"

"It's nothing serious," Hana quickly added, putting on a pretense smile. "I think we're getting off tangent here. Lucas's our importance." This time, though, she was honestly worried about their gradual off-course conversations since they were no longer discussing Lucas nor his current health. If they wanted answers, she would give answers since it had come down to this anyway, but later. She wanted to know whether Hugo's blood was safe enough to be given to his son.

Kevin knew too that the subject had changed, but he wasn't willing to back out so fast. To assure the audience, who got recalled back to worrying about the little boy due to Hana's comment, he casually said, "He's fine, trust me." He shifted his eyes to Seth. "Continue, please."

Seth momentarily paused with hesitation and finally explained that on the night of Hana's discharge from the accident six years ago, when the friends were going to visit Hana, he and Sylvia had come across Hana's conversation with Mr. Hart. Logan wasn't present because he went to sign the discharge papers at the front desk; Hailey went to get Lucas to see Hana; and Jake was in the bathroom. Seth continued that they didn't intend to eavesdrop and had heard the conversation exchanged between the two from inside because the door wasn't completely closed. At first, he had suggested for him and Sylvia to go to the waiting area, but they changed their minds when they overheard the blackmail Mr. Hart said to their friend.

"What exactly did that man say?" There was no need to read Logan's expression to know that he was disgusted at another attempt from his father he had failed to recognize and stop.

"He said..." Seth expressed discomfort in having to reiterate what had been negatively said to his friend. "...she's not a good influence on you, and Lucas would be a nuisance in your future. So, if she has any decency or consideration for you, they have to leave you."

"And they did," Logan's hushed whisper was still audible for the rest to hear.

Hailey puckered her lips as her eyes were filled with water and remorse, and she turned around to look back at Hana. "Hana! Why'd you believe such a thing?"

They hugged.

Kevin and Hugo simultaneously looked at the girls hugging and then locked eyes momentarily with each other to share the same thought: the reason why Hana had always been adamant about not explaining why she needed to be away from Logan was that she didn't want to painfully repeat what Mr. Hart had said to her. It all made sense now. This was the important detail and the moving force she had never slipped to them, and now they knew.

Kevin smiled at his friend and patted him on the back. He then gave everyone an individual look, and after confirming the calmness of the atmosphere, he decided it was time to take the next step. He headed to where Hana and Hailey were standing, and said, "This is my third confession."

For an unknown reason, Hana had nothing else to fear. Everything had been laid out already—from the reason that had prompted her to leave to why she had planned to marry Hugo. What else did Kevin have to say?

"Rather than saying it, I'll show it." Kevin walked further back to the corner of the room to where another door was, the same door he had been standing nearby in the beginning. He took out a key from his pocket and unlocked it. Sliding a head into the room, he asked out loud if "they" were willing to come out now.

A few seconds later, an unexpected small figure stepped out of the room. Following next was also another unanticipated person.

Lucas and Mrs. Hart.
