As the High General of the Forest clan stood on his feet, he was witnessing the fireflies transformed into a young woman. She had hair like leaves and her clothes were made of a mixture of fern and moss covering her ample bosom and crotch. Her skin was like dark emerald as she glowed.
"I am Ismene," She began to say. "The leader of the plant nymphes."
The High General of the Forest clan bowed as a courtesy.
"You entered my domain not caring of your well-being." She continued to say. "You walked bravely down the steps into this realm not knowing what lies ahead."
Ismene began to walk towards. "You endured your sufferings without any complain."
She continued to walk and circled around the High General of the Forest clan.
"And, you told the truth of your heart even it burdens you."
She stopped in front of him.
"Please do tell me why?" Ismene of the plant nymphe asked. "Why are you so willing sacrificing yourself to fight the Darkness which you have no chance of winning."
Though, the High General of the Forest clan was surprised by the last statement of the plant nymphe, he remained unaffected.
"Why not surrender instead?" Ismene tempted.
"Be gone nymphe," The High General of the Forest clan said sternly. "For I no longer wish to associate with the likes of you. Even the odds of defeating the Darkness are slim. It is better to die fighting than to do nothing at all! How can you say something like that? How can you remain indifferent? My world will be destroyed once the Darkness is reborn. After He destroys our world, He will destroy your world and all the worlds that exist."
Ismene acted stunned at the revelation of the High General of the Forest clan.
