The High General of the Forest clan continued to follow the thread until he reached the edge of the forest. From where the forest ended, he could see a clearing, field of sort, except the field was barren. He ran towards the field. And, when he almost near the center, he stopped. He smelled something fetid.
The High General of the Forest clan looked around and he could still see the thread. It was leading into a mudpot where the foul smell was coming from. He slowly made his steps and as he neared the mudpot, the more the smell became offensive.
The High General of the Forest clan began gagging and a few seconds later, he started vomiting. His eyes watered as the air became more densely odoriferous. He continued to cough, and he started to have a hard time breathing. It seemed the gas being released from the mudpot was poisonous and he could the burning sensation from his nostrils passing through his throat and down his lungs.
The High General of the Forest clan knew that his life was in mortal danger and he needed to act soon. He looked on the ground and luckily, he saw weeds barely growing near where he was. He placed his left palm on the ground, and the moment the weeds touched his flesh, his hand glowed. The weeds began to crawl and grow wrapping around his left hand. Other weeds began to grow where he knelt and those weeds like what happened at his left hand, began to grow and wrapped his feet and the rest of his body. The weeds continued to grow until finally it wrapped around his head covering his mouth, nose, eyes and ears.
While this was happening, the poisonous gas became so thick that the everything around the High General of the Forest clan was covered by this densely fog-like.
