Chpt. 13

You sat with Juleka, chatting to her about your favorite movies. The sky was almost clear except for the occasional sprinkles of clouds. There was a slight breeze which seemed to play with Juleka's hair. You wished you were that breeze.

You stretched your arms and looked at everyone in your group. Alya and Nino were chatting happily, Ella was standing and reading a book. Marinette was scarily less nervous around Adrien. Adrien hadn't spoken to you for awhile. You felt unhappy about it. At the same time it was going nowhere for you and Juleka.

There was something missing.

The breeze picked up a bit and Ella noticed this. A storm was approaching.

You noticed both Chloe and Lila walking towards your group and you tensed. You stared at the two and they noticed Marinette was happier.

They looked at each other and on that day a deadly alliance was formed. You curiously watched as they walked off, plotting quietly.

You didn't really want to be all too concerned about those two. You just wanted to get to know Juleka more. Yet she usually avoided the topic of home and spoke barely enough as it. You didn't want to for her into anything like talking too much or tell you about her family.

"Looks like it's going to pour." You said. Juleka looked up and she darted her eyes away from the sky.

"Hopefully it won't be bad." She mumbled.

The bell rang and everyone resumed to class. Looking outside, some kids staring at the teacher, some glaring at the clouds and some in a daze.

You were scribbling down what the teacher said until the next moment-

THWACK!

You looked up, surprised. Then a lightening bolt appeared in the sky.

You noticed Juleka tense. Her hands were shaking but she hid that. You stared and got ready to reach out and comfort her.

"Utterly Ridiculous! Now my hair is going to soak!" Chloe whined. You rolled your eyes and Lila caught you.

"Chloe darling~ Y/N here just said you were being ridiculous." Lila said with a fake gasp

"What!" Chloe sat up, even due to the Teachers protests. You watched as she made her way to you and poked your chest with a manicured finger nail, hard.

"I could ruin you." She said with a glare.

"Honestly you're annoying." You muttered. She seemed to have heard you and got her claws ready. She brought down her hand, it was caught by a familiar bluenette.

"Chloe as your class Representative I ask you please to return to your seat." Marinette asked. She hissed and stomped back down to her seat. Marinette returned to her seat and class went on.

You were drawn back to Juleka's shaking hands after awhile. Her gaze was set on the teacher. She seemed to be waiting for the bell. You at last looked away from her and listened to the teacher.

You remember some of the students gossiping that Chloe was no longer queen bee.

You wondered if that was true. You only saw Ladybug and Chat noir run around Paris, nothing serious.

"Owww!" Lila fell to the ground holding her stomach. She curled up in pain on the ground and groaned. You stared at her and notice Chloe rush up to Lila with a false worried expression.

Chloe asked the teacher if she could take Lila to the nurses office and the teacher agreed. You watched in curiosity as the two exited the room. Mumbles were heard as the teacher allowed the two out.

The class went back to normal yet again. You got bored and started doodling in your book.

Then the thunder sounded again.

THWACK!

You noticed Juleka jump slightly and you reached out to her. She stared at her shaking hands, her head tilting to look at them. Her hair cascaded down as the movement followed.

You watched in awe as she moved so. Her red eyes were another story though.

They seemed afraid. They seemed haunted.
