Happy New Year folks!
This one is set in The Carpet in S2
Kelly becomes Jim's wingman and helps him out with pam lol
This is probably gonna be a fairly long one-shot, maybe 2 or 3 parts
Kelly is so underrated, I love her ok bye

"So Jim," Kelly's annoyingly familiar voice enters his ears and she enters his vision before he knows it. "Hey, Kelly," Jim forced a painful smile and nodded at his friend. "What's up?" He asked.

"I totally wasn't eavesdropping or anything, but I happened to hear that you like, totally have a crush on Pam!" She squealed, and his face dropped. 'Shit...' he thought, wanting to escape this conversation as soon as possible. "Erm, where did you hear that? And for the record, not anymore. After I learned that she had a fiancee, I stopped having a crush on her. It's simple."

"I heard it from Michael, who is usually, like, really untrustworthy, but he said you spoke to him on the booze cruise and told him about your crush, and I think I remember seeing you talking to him outside, so, like, I guess it's true. Also, I know that you still like her- cuz I see you looking at her all the time like you're in love with her or something. Look, Jim, I don't mean to beat around the bush- I've not come over here to torment you about your crush on Pam. I've come to make you a deal."

Jim stopped and looked at her, mid-type. His fingers recoiled from the keyboard and he swiveled to face her in his chair. "Okay...I'm listening," he murmured, folding his arms. Kelly grinned. "I thought that might catch your attention. Alright, hear me out."

"I become your wingman...or wingwoman...and help you out getting Pam...and in return, you help me get Ryan!" She cried, thinking about him. "Oh, man, Jim, he's just so handsome, and he's really smart, and the other day he told me-"

"I think I've heard enough," Jim snapped slightly, done hearing about Ryan for today. When he saw her expression, he softened though. He could never get mad at her, not really. "You know what, Kelly, it's a nice idea, but even if I managed to get you a date with Ryan or whatever, there's no way you could get Pam to date me. She's with Roy, remember?"

"So you're admitting that you like Pam?" Kelly grinned, cocking her head to the side. Jim rolled his eyes. "Yes, sure, whatever. I guess. Either way, it'll never work."

Kelly paused, before shaking her head. "Nah, you're wrong. It will work because I'm Kelly freaking Kapoor, and I always know what to do! But if you agree to this, then you've got to promise to keep your side of the deal, kay?"

A few minutes earlier, Pam walked into the room to give Toby a message about his daughter, who had been sick at preschool and needed picking up. "Hey, umm, Toby," she said, approaching him with a small smile, "Just to let you know, Sasha's preschool called, and she's been sick. Apparently she wants you to come and get her. She really wants her teddy bear, too."

"Oh," Toby nods, "yeah, she did say something about a stomach ache this morning, now that I think about it...I just thought she was just faking to get out of swimming," he admitted, looking quite embarrassed. "I probably should have listened."

"Well, in all fairness, kids lie all the time to get out of stuff, don't they?" She chuckled, although she had no clue whether this was true or not since she had little to no experience with children. Then again, Pam had always liked babysitting her small cousin, Theo, who was 6.

Toby smiled awkwardly. "Ahaha, yeah, they do...erm, thanks for telling me, Pam, I'll go get her now, I guess." He switched off his computer, then got to his feet and slung his bag over his shoulder before leaving the room.

Pam was about to go back to her desk when she remembered that Jim was sat by Kelly for today since Michael had taken his usual spot. She smiled slightly, wondering how her best friend was getting on with Kelly. She made her way over to the cubicle and hovered by.

"Yeah, alright, I'll keep my side of the deal or whatever. But I have to say, Kelly, I'm still really skeptical about this. You're taking a lot of risks by agreeing to help me out with...my issue." Pam frowned as she heard Jim murmur this to Kelly. What were they talking about? What deal? What issue? She quickly realised that she'd only learn the truth by listening more.
