Forever-Akaashi Keiji

I'll try to do better next time. This was one of my drafts from mid 2018 (or 2019?) that I decided to finish, so if the writing at the start is a bit weird or cheesy, I apologise.😂 Also this Akaashi may seem more emotional but I just feel like he would act like this in this kind of situation. Just my opinion and if you think he is OOC I hope you don't find it too off putting.

Gods aren't perfect.

They also make decisions based on opinions and emotions.

In a way, they are exactly like humans.

Y/N's pov

"Keiji please don't do this!"

"I'll always be here for you."

I woke up panting for air, it was that same nightmare over and over again. I looked at my bed side table, it was currently 3:00 am. 'Great. And I have classes today.' I sigh as I laid back down and tried to rid my thoughts of my nightmare. 'Life used to be so perfect in heaven. Everything was like a fairy tale, yet it just had to come crumbling down.'

Flashback

"Keiji come on!" I yelled to my lover, as I ran across the flower fields.

"You know you are going to hurt yourself if you keep running like that." he says as he wraps his arms around my waist, snuggling his face in to my neck. I giggled and tried to pull him away.

"You know I'm ticklish there!" and he just smirks and gives me a cocky face.

"Exactly." And continues to bury his face deeper in my neck but this happy moment was sadly interrupted when one of the other gods came.

"Akaashi-san, we need you to come with us." I was confused as to why Keiji was needed, but he just gave me a smile and told me to wait here.

After an hour or, so he comes to me with a grim expression "I need to go on a mission." It was just a mission, yet why was he so upset.

"What kind of mission?" I ask him. He comes to me and gives me hug, which I return.

"...I have to create a war among the humans." I stood there shocked.

"Why?!" I ask, and he just bites his lip and says, "There aren't enough people that believe in the gods anymore, so to fix the problem...I have to create a war that will get rid of the kingdoms who don't worship us."

I could feel him shaking in my arms. Keiji can't do this. He is too kind to do this kind of thing. "Keiji please don't do this!" I gripped on to him tighter.

"Knowing you, you probably won't be able to go through with this and even if you do...I can tell you will break one of the rules to save a random person." he pats me on the head and I look up to see him smiling.

"Y/N, I wouldn't risk that kind of thing. I promised that I'll always be here for you, so don't think I won't come back or risk our relationship. Okay?" I hesitantly nod, and we just stood there in each other's embrace.

The next day, Keiji had to leave for his mission, but something felt wrong. He seemed to have noticed this as he put his forehead against mine and tried to reassure me. "Hey, don't worry. I'm going to come back, and I'll succeed my mission. After that we can go to the flower fields again." He then gave me a gentle kiss on my forehead.

"Okay. But promise me you will be safe though." He smiles at me and grabs my right hand to wrap his pinkie with mine

"I promise." If only I knew what would happen.
