Anniversary-Akaashi Keiji

Felt like writing a slight angst randomly but it's doesn't really seem like one😂😂 I'm really sorry of this sucky writing!!

2nd person pov

"Keiji! Are you serious?! Why are you choosing to work today?" You were furious. Your boyfriend of five years decided to work on your anniversary. Who would decide to even do that?

"Y/N, calm down. It's not a big deal." That one sentence irked you. You usually try to be understanding of Keiji's work schedule as a magazine editor, but what he just said hurt.

"So you don't care that we have been together for five years? Does it mean nothing to you?" He just sighed and shook his head.

"I didn't mean to phrase it like that. You need to calm down okay? We can always celebrate it next year. I have to go now. Let's talk when I get back." You were shocked at how he brushed you off just like that.

Usually he would be so sweet and try to listen to you and your opinions. Why is he so different today? Tears started to prick up but you held your ground. "Fine, good luck at work." You say in a quiet voice and turned around.

You flinched when you heard the door slam. You stood there looking at all the food you prepared and the decorations. You wanted to yell, wanted to cry, wanted to ask him to stay. You didn't need any gifts or a big celebration or a fancy dinner. You just wanted him and everything he his.

You sigh as you look at the cake. You smile sadly as even though he overworked himself, you loved how hardworking he is. And how his face crinkles when he his concentrating or how he smiles when the magazine does well.

"Oh well, what can I do now?" You say to yourself. Even though he could be a workaholic, you still loved him and were willing to accept that of him.

"I'll just wait till he gets home." And started to wrap the food up as you continued to speak to yourself. However, you bumped into the shelf and knocked a photo frame over. You groan in pain and bent down to pick up the photo.

However, when you saw that it was a photo of you two from your anniversary last year, you couldn't help but break down. You missed him, so much. And just let yourself let your emotions out.

Keiji was feeling just as frustrated as you. He didn't like how upset you looked and how you walked away. He was about to speak up, when he received a message from his boss asking him to come to the office soon.

And with feeling angry with the whole situation, he shut the door a bit too harshly. How he so wanted to just open up that door and apologise to you. He stared at the screen, not being able to process anything. He knew it was stupid and heartless of him to work on this day, but he needed the money. For something extremely special.

But was it worth you feeling upset and lonely on this special day? He didn't want you to be mad at him and he didn't want to see you cry. He could see that you were holding back you tears and it broke him.

"Akaashi, are you okay?" He turned to see the infamous 'Little Giant'. Who knew he would end up working with him.

"Ah yes. I'm nearly finished editing this so I'll sent it to the office soon." He looked at Akaashi with a frown.

"Wasn't it your day off today? If I remember correctly, it was yours and Y/N's anniversary." Akaashi froze at his words. They noticed how his shoulders sunk a bit.

"Yes, but I really need the money so I decided to work extra hours." Tenma looked at him with a sympathetic face. He heard Akaashi talk about you and the anniversary and how excited he was. Which was a huge difference from his usual straight laced face.
