2nd person POV

You stared at the ring on your finger, trying to help calm you down from everything. Recently Osamu has not been giving or acknowledging you a single bit. He wouldn't reply to your texts or even wave back when you see him in school.

He hadn't even been talking to you at all even though you are both in the same class. You would always have to go up and start the conversations yourself. He would even talk to your female classmates more than he does with you. And acts friendly with them, which makes it even worse.

You knew he wasn't being unfaithful, but was he not in love with you anymore? You look at the promise ring he had given you on your first anniversary and it made you emotional. You like him, possibly even love him with all your heart.

The fact that you were basically in a one-sided relationship killed you. He wasn't who he was when you first dated. When did this all start? You didn't really notice how closed off he was till last month.

You went through all the possibilities like volleyball practice, school, stress and everything. But none of them seemed to match up with his actions. Did he not trust you to confide in you? Was he tired now?

It hurt you and you weren't hiding it in the slightest. But the fact that even Atsumu and the team noticed it before Osamu, made you realise this wasn't right. And that scared you. You were afraid to confront him but you were afraid to know what would happen if you didn't solve it.

So you hesitantly walked up to him after practice. "Osamu, can we talk please?" You say as you grab on to his sleeve. He just nods at your question and follows you.

"I... just want to know why you are being so distant lately. I've never seen you be this cold to me before, even when nationals and finals were coming up, you still talked to me more than you do now." Osamu just gave you a blank stare and sighed.

"I have no idea what you are going on about. I seriously don't think I've acted any different towards you. Maybe you are just overreacting." Your heart started to crack at his words.

"Then why haven't you noticed how sad I am, or why do you never hold me hand anymore, or smile at me anymore. How can you say you don't act any different?" You could tell he started to agitated and gave you a cold stare.

"I don't know, maybe I needed a break from your clingy self. It's always about you isn't it? Why can't you accept that maybe, I'm not in the mood for things or in the mood to talk to you. I have things going on as well." You looked at him in shock. You never considered that maybe you were being clingy, but you were a bit too emotional currently and it delayed any kind of rationality.

"I understand! But for a whole month?! If you feel this way, why couldn't you have tried to talk to me about it?" His eyebrows creased even more.

"Because being with you feels suffocating! Geez I don't even know if I love you anymore." Tears started to fall down your cheeks, the fact that his first words of love to you, would come out like this. When he saw you crying, his face soften.

"Y/N... maybe we should break up." You could only nod at his words. This. Wasn't healthy at all. And you knew that. You silently took off your ring and placed it in his hand.

"Thank you for an amazing year and for being my first love. I'm sorry I couldn't help you." Was all you could muster before running back home.
