1. The Two Huskies

I feel the sunlight shining into my bedroom due to a small slit coming from the curtains. I open my eyes stretching in my bed before preparing for my day. I sit up yawning feeling good this morning. I pick up my cell phone to look at the time.

8:00a.m.

It read. I put my phone back onto the nightstand getting out of bed feeling my warm feet touch the cold wooden floor. I make my bed first thing and open up my curtains letting the sun brighten my bedroom. I sigh in happiness taking it all in. I catch myself zoning out and rush out of the room going to my bathroom to brush my teeth, wash my face, and brush my hair back so I can put my hair into a French braid.
I take a good look at myself after finishing my routine. I nod heading back into my bedroom rushing towards my closet. I grab a pair of light washed jean shorts, my light blue converse, a white shirt, white socks and my nude colored under garments. I couldn't wait to head to the animal shelter to have those two gorgeous huskies in my hands.
I've been eyeing them for weeks on end. Today was officially the day I would get them. I strip to nothing than put on my nude colored bra and underwear. Then my white t-shirt and my light washed jean shorts. I put my socks on than my shoes. I went into the bathroom to look at myself in the mirror. I grabbed my liquid eyeliner and false eyelashes. I put on my liquid eyeliner, and then my false lashes after that I put on a bit of mascara.

I fully study my casual look in the mirror and smile. Perfect, I thought. I grabbed my wallet to make sure my money, ID, and other things were in there. I grab a small purse putting my wallet in there. I grab my purse, and keys. I set them onto my bed checking to make sure everything was off in the house. I enter my bedroom grabbing all of my things only needing to grab the list that was at my front door.

I close my bedroom door behind me heading down the hallway. I enter the living room going towards the front door grabbing my list and heading outside. I make sure my home is secured than go to my car. I get in putting my purse with my phone in the passenger seat. I start my car heading to the store needing to grab some stuff for my doggies and groceries for me personally.
I put my vehicle in reverse focusing behind me and front of me as well. Once I'm in the road, I put my car in drive heading to the city. I tap on the wheel every here and there listening to some tunes that played on the radio. Making the silence less uncomfortable considering I was by myself.

"Ooh, I knew it when I met him
I loved him when I left him ...
And then I had to tell him
I had to go, oh na na na ..."

Causally singing the lyrics to a Camila Cabello song. Enjoying the music to the lyrics ... the way the instruments sound in her song make it more interesting.

I finally arrive at a store to pick up everything I would need here. I find a parking spot putting the car in park. I take out my keys after turning off the vehicle. I put my keys in my purse grab my phone exiting my vehicle heading inside.

"Where is she?" I ask Noen waiting for that girl whose been eyeing us for weeks. She said she'd come get us a couple days ago. I walk back and forth knowing the humans just hearing me barking and growling.

"She'll be here, Caleb. Be patient," I growl at him then continue to pace back and forth waiting for her to show. Noen whines shaking his head at me.

"You can't growl and swear under your breath! It's not nice," Noen says to me. I sit down looking at the ground. Just an FYI we're both in dog form.

"She'll be here, I promise," He says again. I nod then lie down trying to get comfortable. Whining in sadness waiting for our new owner to get us.

"She'll be here soon to get y'all. I promise guys," The worker said to us noticing that we're both upset she isn't here yet.

Let me explain. I was a cruel person, I didn't care for people, and I did something awful that caused 'someone' to transform us into dogs by day. Humans at night. So, being at the shelter not being adopted was difficult. We've never been picked and I'm anxious to finally get out of here. I didn't believe magic truly existed until three years ago... Here I am now, needing to figure out how Noen and I can finally be human again.

After rushing to my house then getting to the animal shelter as quick as possible. I'm finally able to get my huskies I've been wanting! I run in paying for the two huskies seeing them when I walk in. They both stand up in excitement.

"I can't wait to take you both home!" I exclaim to the two beautiful huskies. They both jump wanting me. I smile happy that I get to call them my own.

"The one with black and white fur, his name is Caleb. The one with Tan and white fur, names Noen," The worker tells me. I nod as the worker puts a leash on them both giving them to me.

"Well you signed the paper work, paid, and stuff so I wish you both the best," I smile at the worker taking them to my car. I was happy.

I sigh when they both roam and smell around my place as I prepare their food and water. I even prepare their collars hoping to get their name tags on them soon. Caleb has a Pink collar and Noen has a blue collar.

"Caleb! Noen!" I exclaim as I hear their paws rushing into the kitchen where I held their collars. "I have collars for you both! Caleb has pink, Noen has blue." They both sit waiting patiently which was odd but I shook it off anyways. I put the light pink one on Caleb first, he looked so proud in that collar. I pet his head chuckling at how good he looks. I grab the blue one off the counter putting it on Noen. I make sure their not too loose or too tight then sigh.

"Wanna go outside? I need to smoke," Caleb barked and I raised an eyebrow. I shook my head grabbing a joint (not a cigarette) going outside. Noen follows as I light it taking a hit. I hold in it for as long as I can then blow out the smoke feeling it fulfill my lungs.

Why does she smoke? I realized Noen and I have to hide because of something. It'll freak our new owner out. I whine for a minute not even craving any food. I go to the water bowl to drink it. I hear someone yawn so I stop drinking my water twitching my ears back.

"I'm gonna head to sleep. It's 7:30p.m. And the sun is setting. Goodnight boys, don't cause too much trouble," I hear her explain to me. I see her go into her bedroom closing the door.

"She isn't that bad," Noen said to me. I turn away from him as he shakes his head.

"Caleb, she's gonna find out soon..." he tells me. The only thing that goes through my mind is ...
