Ella Brooks

"Goodnight Ash."

"Goodnight Ella," He places a kiss against my cheek. I smile at him before entering my house. I close the front door behind me once I'm inside. The house looks clean like nothing has been touched. As I go into the living room, going down the hallway entering the kitchen. I notice a sad Caleb out in the backyard. I'm pretty sure it was sometime around midnight but I don't exactly know the time.

Ashton and I lost track of time watching the stars and conversing. I sigh as I continue walking to my bedroom. I close the door behind me as I immediately take off my shoes then dress. My bare skin exposing. Luckily I still have my under garments on. I go into my closet grabbing some shorts and a large black t-shirt to sleep in. I check the time;

11:06p.m.

It didn't feel like eleven. Was it really only three hours? I shake my head to open my bedroom door. I go towards the door for the backyard. I open it joining Caleb on the porch sitting right next to him.
He turns to me then turns away. I wasn't exactly surprised he was upset with me. I did break a promise. I also forgot about my date with Ashton as well. So, my plans were just all jumbled today.

"Look, I apologize for upsetting you, and only calling you a dog..." I begin hoping he'll forgive me, "I forgot I had other plans. And, I should've told you ahead of time." I stop talking letting him process my words for a good minute. He stands up heading towards the door.

The moment his hand touches the door knob off, I go, "You can sleep in my room tonight. If you'd like." He stood their for a moment. He seemed very tempted to turn around, to glance in my direction. Caleb sighs then heads back inside. I sigh knowing I can't get his forgiveness immediately. Yet with time and patience I'll get him.

I hear the door opening to see Caleb enter the bedroom. I stop sketching on a sketch pad setting it down beside me on the bed.
I study Caleb but his mind drifted to Ella. He was strongly debating whether or not to forgive her.

"Stop reading my thoughts," Caleb said startling me a bit. Throwing a small pillow at me.

"I would apologize but, your thoughts are loud," I tell him the truth. When he has something on his mind, it remains.

"She told me she was sorry. I actually dressed nice for her. Ella is something else but Noen ... Why even try when she has somebody else?"

"I told you. Be patient. She does indeed have a soft spot for you. Just open up to her. It wouldn't kill you, Caleb!" I huff as I exit the bedroom after lecturing him. I accidentally bump into Ella as I exit my bedroom door.

"Woah, I'm sorry.." I say instantly.

"Oh it's okay. I needed to talk with you anyways. My room," she told me. I nod as we both walk in the direction of Ella's bedroom. She closes the door behind us once we stand there.

"I honestly forgot that I had a date with my boyfriend... Is there possibly anyway that I could get his forgiveness?" I thought of when I saw Caleb. The way he hugged that pillow when tears were slowly running down his slightly pink cheeks. He didn't care if I read his thoughts. He just strongly disliked the way he was ... way he felt. I knew Ella was the one for him but he's so damn arrogant, stubborn and highly cocky sometimes. It drives me insane.

"Watch a movie with him. Take him to the movies tomorrow night. Just something ... somewhere special," I finally give her some ideas. She furrows her eyebrows together gathering ideas in her mind. I continue, "Also, you might want to explain that whole boyfriend situation to him."
