Kyle

"You alright babe?".

Eliza was suspiciously quiet for a girl who loved to talk. Her face was looking rather pale as she stared out the passenger window and she picked at her nails furiously which was what she always did when she was anxious.

"Hmm. I'm fine".

A big fat lie. I had known this girl all my life and she of all people should know that she cannot lie to save her life.

"Babe, I know you're not. What's wrong?".

Grabbing her hand, I stroked my thumb against the back of her smooth skin and smiled at her reassuringly.

"Just strange club people, that's all" she huffed still refusing to look at me. I made a small agreeing sound before switching into gear.

"Sweetheart, I'm sorry for cancelling our dinner. It was so unfair of me to do so. I let business take over and I shouldn't have let it. You are my priority and I want us to spend as much time together as possible".

Eliza slowly turned her head towards me and grabbed my hand in hers.

"Thank you Kyle. That means a lot. I'm sorry for getting so angry, I know you're a busy man too and I have to respect that".

Eliza smiled at me and patted her hand on top of mine.

"You have nothing to be sorry for sweetheart. Do you wanna head home or get something to eat?".

Eliza's eyes widened at the prospect of getting free food.

"How about we get some pizza and head home to watch Netflix".

Pulling the car to a halt I turned to my beautiful girl and smirked at her.

"How about pizza, Netflix and chill".

"Sounds like a plan Kyle".

Looking away from my little vixen, I turned back to the empty road and pressed down hard on the accelerator eager to get home. I could take her in the car, but she would protest until she got her damn pizza.

Eliza was amazing in bed, but truthfully I didn't want sex tonight, I was too tired and too stressed. But I knew I had to to rid the smell of other men that were around her in the club. I wanted to rub my scent all over her to keep other men away. She belonged to me and that was how it was going to be until the end.

Next day

Eliza

"Good morning darling, how'd you sleep?".

"Fine dad. Just got a bad hangover so please don't talk too loud". Dad chuckled as he sat himself down opposite me on the large table piled with food and opened up his newspaper.

I grimaced a little watching my dad beckon over a maid who stood in the corner of the room with her head bowed. The maid who's name I still did not know picked up the coffee jug and poured my dad a fresh cup of coffee before asking if there was anything else he needed. But he simply dismissed her without so much as a glance.

Dad was a very successful and powerful man. We lived in a huge house but he insisted of hiring maids and servants to do our cooking, cleaning and attending to other businesses. It was completely unnecessary. Dad had also forbidden me from talking to them saying that it would only hinder their work performance.

"Dad, are you not capable of pouring yourself a coffee?".

Stabbing my fork into my pancake, I frowned up at my dad honestly shocked at seeing this lazy side of him. It wasn't often I had breakfast with my dad as he was always out of the house before I even woke up, but this was just ridiculous.

"It's her job princess" he said dismissively before tucking into his own food.

Staring over at the young maid, I noticed she was looking directly at me with a curious expression.

"How's my favourite girl this morning?".

The girl's face suddenly paled and stared down at the floor as if she'd seen a ghost.

"Hungover" I snapped back turning my attention to my food not wanting to look at the young girl anymore.

"I'm not surprised my love". Kyle pressed a gentle kiss on my cheek before sitting himself down beside me and helped himself to food.

I zoned out as Kyle and my dad started to talk about business that I didn't care to listen to. Glancing over at the young girl I noticed that she was staring at me once again with concern on her face. Her eyes flew between the food and my eyes. No wonder she was staring at this food. She looked tired, hungry and worn out.

Screw the rules.

Grabbing an apple from the fruit bowl, I quickly hid it in my hoodie pocket before picking up my fork and then dropping it loudly on my plate in hopes to distract them in case they saw me hide an apple. I would wait for them both to leave before giving the girl the fresh fruit.

"Babe, are you sure you're not still drunk?" My dad and Kyle erupted into laughter about my life choices but simply ignored them far from being in the mood to talk to them.

"What plans do you have for today Eliza?" Dad chimed whilst placing the paper down.

"I want to go back to the zoo".

Kyle suddenly sputtered on his tea and placed his cup back on the saucer.

"Why? We went there recently. Why don't we go to the beach?".

"No. I want to go to the zoo" I snapped back. He cannot keep controlling my life like this.

"And why is that princess? I don't think that's a good idea after that wolf went haywire".

"How do you know about that? I never mentioned that to you?".

"Kyle told me".

He must have. Kyle and my dad were practically best mates. Plus my dad sometimes does research for the zoo he was probably bound to know.

"Yeah, but I'll be fine. I'm sure they've got it under control. I just, liked it there".

There was no way I was going to tell my dad that I was absolutely hypnotised by the wolf that had to be taken away. They'd think I was crazy or something. I wanted to go back and see the wolf again.

"Fine. We can go" Kyle said as if I had somehow annoyed him.

"No, it's okay, you have to go to work. I'll just go by myself".
