Eliza
The armies were ready. The young, the sick and the elderly were settled in the underground bunker. Everything had come together in the quickest time for the sake of our son.
Blood would be shed and seep back into the earth, lives will be taken, hope restored. Tonight was the night my father would die. He would pay for all the pain, death and destruction with his pathetic life.
The moon was full and the sky dark. No stars could be seen to light the night sky, but that's how I wanted it.
"I am coming for you father and I swear to kill you and take back my son".
Looking up at the sky with hope burning through my veins, I dipped my fingers in the bowl of white paint and trailed them down over my eyes before dragging them along my cheekbones.
"My Queen".
A pair of strong muscly arms entangled themselves around my waist and pulled my body back against his firm chest.
Warrick moved a piece of hair away from my ear and instantly planted his lips on the mark he had imprinted on my skin forever reminding me that I was eternally his.
We both stared up at the full moon and relaxed in each other's presence. The moon goddess was with us, I could feel her strength flowing through me, her spirit shielding us. Many of us would die tonight, but their death would not be in vain. Tonight we were fighting for freedom, fighting for peace and fighting for revenge for all the innocent lives taken from us.
Warrick spun me around and looked down at me, desire and love burning in those earthy eyes of his.
His fingers trailed over my cheeks and followed the trails of war paint I had put on my face.
His smile widened before he turned his attention down to his hand. I followed his eyes and noticed he had pulled out a small blade.
"Kitten? What are you-"
"Shh".
Warrick dragged the blade across his palm watching as blood began to seep out of his tanned skin.
I watched completely stunned as he clenched his hand shut before opening it back up and placing his blood soaked hand on my cheek.
"You're leaving your white hand print on every warrior's face. Giving them the strength and courage of the prophecy Luna, yet you do not bear a mark. I am your mate, your husband, therefore I give you my blood as a reminder that I am bound to you for life. I will stand with you, fight alongside you and always protect you. My Queen, my saviour and my soulmate".
Warrick collapsed to his knees and rested his head on my stomach bowing before me in his own special way. After all an Alpha bows to no-one except for his Luna.
Gently grabbing his chin, I lifted his head up so his beautiful eyes were staring into mine.
"Have I told you how much I love you?".
"You have, but I wouldn't mind hearing it again" he replied cheekily.
Leaning down I captured Warrick's mouth with mine and told him how much I loved him through my lips, tongue and touch. This man, this once broken caged man was now the strongest most loving man I had ever known. He gave me life, he gave me truth and he gave me happiness beyond measure. Even though I was terrified of losing him, I knew we would not stop until our son was home and my father was dead.
"I love you so much Warrick".
"I love you even more Eliza".
"I'm not sure that's possible Kitten".
